This newest adventure of Elena, Raphael, and Co. takes readers to a new mysterious world called Lumia, where they encounter secrets, conspiracy, and danger. Not only that, but secrets about Elena’s past emerge, altering her perception of who and what she is.

While Elena and Raphael’s personalities were largely unchanged and their love burned as hot as ever, I really did enjoy this look into Elena’s past. There were plenty of twists and answered plenty of questions regarding her uniqueness among angelkind.

The primary story was exciting as well. A little more political than in past instalments, what with so many power players involved, but nonetheless extremely enjoyable and a fresh take on the series.

The action, banter, and new understanding of familiar characters made for some powerful and emotional moments. This may not have been the most explosive finale the series has seen, but it definitely had an impact for future books.

One of my favourites in the series, ARCHANGEL’S HEART has me very excited about where the next books go!

I felt like this book was a breath of fresh air in the series, I wasn’t just another book about one of the 7 finding a mate.

This book was full of history and was full of characters we love, as well as getting to know a little more about of of the 7 but not in a romantic way.

I love learning more about the family history and the creepy cult I just found it really interesting

I like this series but the audio book has highlighted that I tend to skip the overwrought bits. If you like Elena for the kick butt attitude skip the audio book.
