Publisher's Summary
My fellow Americans, we are here for one reason: the fact that I picked Marc Havak to represent us in the crucible of carnage. Now, before we talk about how fantastic I am at making world leader decisions, let’s talk about how great this sequel is.
I've read many sequels, and all were bad. Very very bad. But this one? It's the best. And not just because I'm in it. No. Well, yes. I’m in it, and I always do a fantastic job with everything. But it’s also because Marc kicks a ton more alien ass, bangs a ton more alien babes, and generally shows the universe why Americans are the ones who always save the world.

Stop and enjoy the show
This is not an intellectual study of life or the cosmos. It is just a fun ride for a fanciful tale of adventure and cute romantic romps. I laughed and listened from start to finish. I did not stop but listened as I enjoyed my day from work. I hope the next book will be out soon and hopefully a bit longer in length. Oops that's what she said! I have a very long list of books I have listened too, so please take my review to heart but understand that this just may be my Bud Light to your Guinness. Thank you.

Why
Why is this MC just dropping pop culture phrases all the time, to people that live in a different galaxy that don’t understand him. He mentions this himself but yet he still does it I don’t get it. He’s too cocky, he’s too snarky , this dude is over the top he’s like too much mayo on a BLT sandwich. Tongue this guy down please humble him. I really think that the writing is good it’s just the MC is too over-the-top for no reason. I don’t see any justification for him to being the way he is. This is too much the Mel machismo and bravado balance him out.

This was a very good listen. It was nice being able to listen to the continuation of this wonderful series and watch the growth of the MC and his team.

Awesome Narration brings characters to life!
Love the whole saga so far. Story uses Odo"s voice from DS9 for one character :)

a good follow up...
if you liked the last book filled with "cultural" reference points you will like this one. MC continues to be a confident character joined by group of kick ass ladies, that while at times feels forced their character develops into their part. There is plenty of action and humor along with enough steady and serious points to keep the book from taking it's self too seriously or simply rolling your eyes.

I didn't like this one at all...
Maybe I'm misremembering the first book, but from what I recall it starred an irreverent protagonist who often spouted pop culture references.
In book 2, it feels like he speaks in ONLY pop culture references. It gets really annoying very quickly.
As I said, maybe I'm misremembering. Or maybe the charm wore off. Either way, I grew to hate the sound of his voice.

Capiche!!!
Adding in the mobster and gang elements adds a nice twist to the storyline. The action was awesome. Nice drama with the monsters on the ship. And the cage battle was a nice touch.
Keep up the good work
