This series is intended for a mature audience. Recommended for ages 17 and older due to sexual situations and adult themes.

enlightening!
It was a devine look at God and the angels and humans and demons. Lucifer's reasoning and how his pride caused so much grief. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and the narrator was phenomenal. Thanks for sharing. recommended to all.

Love this series!
Im middle aged but my daughter & I both live this series. Sometimes it was on the weak side but most of the time it’s been awesome. It’s different than other fantasy action ones I’ve read, totally different. No elves or witches etc.. It’s a nice change. I feel a part of the characters & now I’m going to read the next book in this series (listen to I mean, the audio one is the best! I love the reader)

Sacrilegious
I had a hard time finishing this story, and here is why... the story started off ok, but than it just got weirder, more and more sacrilegious. It could have been a series I could get into, but I have an issue with the sacrilegious content of God and his arch angels getting involved in our lives. Quite frankly, I was offended and angry at the author's audacity. I am writing this review, because I wish someone would have let me know before I committed to reading the series. S. J. West may be a talented writer, but I personally will not likely read anything from her again.

love this series
Some reviews drag on the accents but I found them cube and made it easy to follow all conversations. Great suspense without being long drawn out over the top cliffhanger. definitely recommend!!

I found it to be easy listening but a mix of many plots I've heard before.

Don't waste your time
I had high hopes for this book series after the first book. But they just go downhill and don't redeem themselves. It was actually a struggle to finish it and I found myself fast forwarding for the first time ever in an audiobook.
This books reads off as though a horny teenager wrote it. Seriously, the main characters have sex, a lot. That's not even the problem. It's that it's childish and does add anything to the story. If anything, it just draws away from what is actually a decent plot.
I finished the books only because I wanted to see how the main story played out. You have all these great characters, but half are underdeveloped because half of this series is the two main characters having sex (or as they call it, getting matches, cause they are adults). Literally this series could have been two books instead of four.
Don't waste your time on these.

Good story line
These books have a good storyline however the girl spends way too much time crying and getting in bed. It seems like most of the book is just her putting them into bed to have sex and it doesn’t really have anything to do with the actual story. On the third but I skipped from like chapter 3 clear to the end just so that I could get past all the sex and crying and feeling poor pitiful me is part just so I could find out what happens.

Story could do without the sex
loved the story, but the multiple sex-scenes I could do without. It was such a cute story I feel like it was ruined with the explicit references.

TOO MUCH MATCHES!
Any additional comments?
I loved the Watchers Trilogy and the first two books in this series but I can't even finish this last book as I have completely lost interest. I feel like maybe there wasn't much storyline for this one and all of the annoying matches were just thrown in there as filler? Super disappointing. I really wanted to finish but I am so sick of the constant repetition of Jess and Mason getting matches I'm not willing to wait through anymore of that to see what happens in the end. I hate to give one of my favorite authors this rating but I have to be honest.

Okay story with fantastic narration..
I'll begin by saying that the worst thing about this series is the fact it was written in the first person. There were soooo many characters that were interesting enough a third person narrative would have been so much better. And, since this author can't seem to write anything other than first person, in any of her books, I won't be reading anything else she's written.
And when I was waiting for a battle in this book it became a stupid argument about an ex girlfriend. Jeez, Jess was soooo stupid I couldn't believe it. And Mason kept begging her to forgive him. Because he had a life before her?? And then their sex act after that was simply ridiculous! I was sorely tempted to dump the book at that point. but instead I skimmed forward, just to get it over with. But every time I stop my skimming to see what's going on they're having sex again. The last chapter was the best part of the book. They weren't able to have sex since they were in the midst of a battle.
The only good book was the first one. Before Jess was ever kissed and found out about sex. The other 3 books were useless. Lots of possibilities but waaaaay to much sex. I'm glad it's over.
No swearing to speak of but the book was just full of sex. Too much sex and not enough story.
As to the narration: Brittany Pressley was just as awesome with this book as she was with the other three. I especially loved the voice of JoJo, but all the voices were great.

bit of a cliffhanger ending but im glad there’s more!
after complaining about the last book and rolling my eyes during this one sooo many times over alllll the professions of love, i found myself feeling stupid over crying at the end. although, i think maybe that was in part due to my feelings toward God and my own destiny. makes ya think...

Disappointing last book
Honestly this whole book is fluff for the surprisingly short final battle that they already spoiled in the previous book. Most of it is Jess making stupid and irrational decisions based on “getting matches”.

I’m happy with the ending l.
I really love this series, but man! I can’t stand how mushy the author makes her two main characters act. In all the books Jess is ditching people who are supposed to mean a lot to her just so she can get laid. It was really annoying. I love romance, don’t get me wrong, but its just too much lovey dovey in this series for me to really enjoy it, maybe If I were a teenager I’d like that part of it more I’m not sure. But even though it irritated me I still really love the story line of this series. And will continue to read more of this author’s books, I just hope all the other characters aren’t so “drop everyone else to gush over my man” type of girls. It’s too “high school” for me. But I’m sure a lot of people might enjoy that aspect.

Nope
This book was one big crap fest. The story was ridiculous. The characters were ridiculous. The big fight as was the entire series was all about saving Lucifer's soul. Really?! Everybody was expendable. On the way to the finale Jess & Mason couldn't stay vertical. Oh yeah & even though we all know it to be true the god in this series was cruel to everybody in his quest to redeem Lucifer. Everybody sacrificed in an attempt to save gods demon child. This series took what some think is an all powerful god & turned him into deceptive, manipulative, cruel being who couldn't handle his own business.
