À propos de cet audio

Amos Lee has never played well with others. He prefers to live his life alone. When the mother he’s never known dies and leaves him a remote trailer house on a few country acres, he jumps at the chance to live life as a hermit. But there seems to be more to this property than he bargained for.

Memories he thought were gone return, bringing feelings he didn’t know he had. A couple of people from the area seem way too interested in him. He’s hearing and seeing things that can’t be real. What has gotten into him? Can he survive it?

This book is trippy. It made me think of the Skinwalker Ranch documentary that I watched, and the tone of the story had a bit of a Stephen King vibe for me. I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the voice actor’s performance. The cold, dry antics of the main character, Amos Lee was entertaining and real and it drew me in right away.
As the story progressed, I got a little lost at times, but that’s nothing a re-read wouldn’t fix. I think I enjoyed that the story was not too long because I’m not sure it would have held up as well if it were. The graphic scenes of violence were intense and described so vividly.
This is the third story that I’ve read by this author, and I am glad there are more to explore. I enjoy Scribner’s writing style and look forward to reading more of his work.

Trippy, Skinwalker Vibe
