Publisher's Summary

Creating a new House of Magic is hard work. Aria knew she had a tall task ahead of her, cleaning up the mess her family had made in the Nine Realms, but nothing could have prepared her for the horrors that awaited within the Nine Realms.

Dark magic has taken hold of the lands as Aria finds herself in the middle of an ongoing war while playing cat and mouse with Knox, who hunts her relentlessly.

To make matters worse, Aria's creature has grown impatient and is doing everything she can to get back to the monster within Knox, even knowing that Aria's heart is on the line.

How far will Aria go to protect those she loves from Knox's wrath? How long can she evade the man stalking her every waking hour as her body and mind fight against the growing need for him to claim her? Can she break the curse that has plagued the Hecate bloodline for more than 500 years while protecting her heart?

Maybe the answers lie with the mysterious silver-haired men who have come to Aria's aid, or perhaps they are just like everyone else wanting to kill or claim her, realizing she is the key to winning the war. Aria intends to bring the Nine Realms and the male stalking her to their knees in this fast-paced, action-packed, and sexy epic fantasy adventure.

Action-packed epic fantasy that will leave you breathless and cheering on the underdog.

Performance not good

The change in voice actress was not for the better. The lady sounds like she is always out of breath. I couldn’t wait for it to be done. As a fan of erotica the use of slang and sex was over the top and to much. I will give the third book a chance but am close to walking away from the series.

Better and Better

While the change in voices irked me a little bit, I convinced myself to envision it as a change related to her situation from the first book to this one. I loved how they used the two actors voices for each character even when one chapter was from the point of view of only one character. For example when the chapter is from her point of view his voice actor still says his lines instead of the actress altering her voice. Similarly to the first book, I found at times the plot revolves solely on the dark erotic tension between them with little story going on. However, there is a lot more going on outside of the relationship in this story that makes it even more addicting that the first book.

Loved it

I loved this one just as much as the first but would have preferred the same voice actors from the first. It was still enjoyable though and I enjoyed the plot for this one.

Light years better thank the first book

I am glad that I stayed with the series after a lacklustre first book. The storyline really picked up in book two and is much faster paced and entertaining.

The book starts to ask good questions, our heroine refuses Knox and starts demanding he let go of his grief and bias. Knox starts asking himself if he can let go of the past.

The new performer for Knox is much better too, bringing a more mature sound to his character. 10/10!

Excellent performances overall and a story that clips along quickly.

Great concept...

The narration was amazing, I loved the performance. However, I couldn't finish it. The story was SO redundant constantly going in circles. The concept is such a cool idea, but I just couldn't take it anymore. Typically I will stick it out through a book and I hate DNFing, but this was one of those books.

Very very veryyyyyyy repetitive

Ok so there’s no development!! Like zero, none, nada, they just move from one place to another and have the same argument with the exact same script over and over. I declare myself defeated and will not be going forward with the rest of the series. There’s so much better stuff out there to be spending credit/money on, do yourself a favor and just skip it.
