A first-person account of silent suffering.

Provides an informative perspective for readers and researchers, including those concerned about experiencing similar symptoms.

Reader’s note to the author: Thank you for sharing your story. I am so very sorry to hear of your traumatic experiences. The recounting elicited the kind of overwhelming emotional response in me that I am certain would be shared by most people. Please take pride in the fact that you have effectively "broken the cycle" of abuse and not passed it on to your children; congratulations and kind regards.
