This is a light bully romance, it doesn’t go too far and you can clearly see that Rory and Mascen don’t actually hate each other. It’s not quite clear why Mascen has such anger toward Rory but I love that she doesn’t tolerate his behaviour. She has a variety of nicknames for him and definitely keeps him on his toes. While it was predictable where this story was going, it was still enjoyable to read. I liked both Rory and Mascen and the chemistry between them and was rooting for them to get together.

Although I initially saw it as a sports romance, it is very light on actual sports. It is kind of a hybrid of friends/enemies to lovers with plenty of angst. It was a quick read and I enjoyed the story.

This is a well written book. It has story layers and character development which draw in the listener. However, I prefer faster paced books and a bit more spice. Therefore, this review is a bit biased. Regardless, I'm glad I had the opportunity to listen to this book. It held my attention and the narration upheld the quality of the writing.

This was my first book from this author and the enemies to lovers trope had my heart race the whole time. The narration had two absolute FAVORITES so they truly did the book justice. Highly recommend ❤️ Finished it in less than 24 hours, it’s THAT Good, promise!
