Publisher's Summary
You'd think a tall woman would fit in on a planet of seven-foot-tall aliens, but even on the ice planet, I'm still a weirdo and an oddity. I'm everything all the other cute, dainty human women aren't.
One guy in particular - the alien Harrec - is determined to embarrass me by pretending he's interested. He's a jokester that flirts like mad and hits on me constantly just to make me feel foolish. He gets under my skin. He makes me so frustrated I want to scream.
When a side-trip to a glacier turns into a nightmare and the two of us are forced to survive alone, I see another side to the enticing blue alien. Even with no one else around, his compliments keep coming and I start wondering if the attraction between us...is real.

lovely
At first, I wasn't sure with Kate's insecurities....but she got over them quickly and the miscommunication was cleared too. I wish there was a better ending but overall cute!

This story was okay not as interesting as others though
This story was okay but it kinda felt to much like the others, where a male alien steals away a human female to spend one on one time together in hopes of mating.
There’s a little adventure then everything comes together in the end.
Again they come across another snow creature half starved but they killed them and kept its baby, better then letting the baby die but still doesn’t feel right to me.
I’m off to the next book hopefully it’s a little more interesting…

it was just ok
Idk, this installment was just OK for me… There were parts I really enjoyed another parts I felt board. Would have loved to see more action both inside and outside of the cave… I mean stuff happened but something about this book just didn't keep me intrigued the way Ruby Dixon's books usually do. For me the most exciting part was the very ending of the epilogue. Did not enjoy Hollie Jackson performance for Kate.

Great performance!
4.5 Blue Roses
4.5 Blue Flames
I absolutely love Ruby Dixon, but when Mason Lloyd performs her aliens, I'm besotted!
He does it so perfectly I enjoy the aliens in their ice world so much, I want to move there.
His accent and cadence of his voice is fitting and bloody fantastic. I want my own blue velvety skin and curly horned alien! It is such a sweet treat listening to this for 6 hours. It feels too short for me.
This is Harrec and Kate's story. Both are virgins and their discovery of one another is beautiful. Harrec is a jokester and Kate is a very serious person who has been bullied and hurt over and over again. It takes her a long time to trust Harrec. On their way to the tribal cave, they decide to take a short cut ( all Harrec's doing to get to know each other better). The plot is gripping and very exciting.
I definitely recommend this audiobook as part of the Ice Planet Barbarians series. If you are a lover of sci-fi romance then this is the series for you.
Happy Listening.

Harrec gets his own mate
Love this series! Dixon does a great job of creating stories and characters that make sense and are original. This is one of the best alien male/human female series out there.
Kate is sensitive about her larger size, height, and virginity. So, of course, she gets Harrec the prankster and ego demolisher shadowing her everywhere. It takes a real effort by Harrec, and near catastrophe for Kate to see past the surface to what could be the best thing that ever happened to her.
Jackson and Lloyd do a really good job of narration.

Sexy banter wins love for Harrec
While the series lagged from books 7-10, things have picked up since the introduction of new blood. Harrec is a shameless flirt and comedian, which makes for humorous fireworks. Since both he and Kate are virgins, the sex is tamer and takes longer to happen. But the sexy fun dialogue filled in the missing chemistry just fine.

Kate and Harrec.
Somehow all the females feel like they are freaks somehow or another and Kates hang up is how tall she is, but luckily, she finds a big blue hunk taller than her (although that should not matter with love.) Another smexy story and sweet love story. To me the series feels like a big, long book, just from different points of views, so I recommend reading in order, Icehome series will begin I think after Barbarian’s Tease, even if I have read some from that series already. Narrators are excellent.

Very Sweet but Funny too!
First, these two narrators do such an amazing job, I just love them! Second, the H is so light and wanting to please the h that he doesn't notice how embarrassing he's making her. He thinks he's giving her compliments but to her, they are teases and such. I am happy with this pair though, they took their time, had some bumps lol but also helped each other too. Can't wait to read (listen) to the next.

The road less travelled leads to danger & love.
This is book 13 in the ICE PLANET BARBARIAN SERIES and each story stands alone, I usually recommend they be read in order. However, as I listened to character Kate do an exemplary job of summarising the background of this series, I thought anyone could pick up this novel, and not feel lost. However, this whole series is wonderful, and I cannot resist the temptation to read all the stories and in order if I can.
I worried when Kate misinterpreted well-meaning comments about herself as criticism, and I wondered how long she would remain blind to others’ truthful complements. Cynicism and “poor me” are tedious if they go on too long. Luckily, a big event happens to Kate and Harrec and acts as the perfect circuit-breaker. I love that both Kate and Harrec have weaknesses they help each other deal with. This was a good give and take relationship and I enjoyed the way their time alone together in harrowing circumstances helped them both grow into better people toward each other and others. And the introduction of a new pet into the tribe is delightful, though bitter-sweet. It’s lovely to watch the children of the couples from the previous books growing up too. Addictive series.
Audible narrators Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd do a wonderful job bringing the characters to life.
This series has been a welcome and unexpected boost to my romance listening enjoyment. Not a dull moment. Where to next?
I recommend this series.

This takes ‘Waity Katie’ to a new level
This book is lol funny. But god almighty was this mfc childish in her sexuality. I must be autistic because her light, shy touches were driving me crazy (and not in a good way). Like, woman, Kate? Is that your name? Please grow a pair and grip the man like you mean it. I wanted to reach into fantasyland and make her apply some pressure.
