Ingersoll Lockwood invented the fictional character Baron Trump in 1890 for a two-part sci-fi/fantasy series about a privileged German heir who undertakes a sequence of fantastic voyages. The style of the Baron Trump series - a mix of fantasy and young-reader-oriented science fiction - anticipated and may have influenced L. Frank Baum's Oz series. The Travel and Adventures of Little Baron Trump describes Baron's trip around the world with his little dog, meeting new races like the Wind Eaters, Man Hoppers, and Melodious Sneezers.

Immersed in imaginative journeys, the Baron Trump stories showcase the eponymous character—a wealthy young boy residing in Trump Castle. While his official name is Wilhelm Heinrich Sebastian Von Troomp, he opts to be addressed by his title, Baron Trump, for simplicity. Venturing into time travel escapades across human history, the young Baron encounters ancient societies, engaging with their languages and social customs. Accompanied by his loyal and protective companion, Bulger the hound, Baron Trump navigates diverse adventures, overcoming numerous challenges.

The years is 1776, and across the world, a reset is taking place—at the hands of the Elite. Their aim—to remove all traces of the Tartarian Empire! Mud-floods, fire, and earthquakes destroyed a great deal of the empire and the civil and the Napoleonic wars killed off many of its inhabitants. Those that survived were incarcerated within the newly established asylums and prisons, hidden away from those that now lived in the New World. Their children were taken and distributed to every major town and city, not just to be used as slave labour, but to repopulate too!

Baron Trump's Marvellous Underground Journey by Ingersoll Lockwood was published in 1893. The novel recounts the adventures of the German boy Wilhelm Heinrich Sebastian Von Troomp, who goes by the name "Baron Trump", and his dog Bulger, as they discover fantastic underground civilizations, offend the natives, escape from their involvements, and repeat this pattern until arriving back home at Castle Trump. The novel was part of a trend in American children's literature that responded to the demand for fantastic adventure stories created by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
