I read this book as a kid, hearing it narrated so well took me right back

Fantastic reading

While this is definitely an abridged version of the book, I thought it worked very well. The story was told in "highlight" fashion, and I never felt like I missed any crucial details despite never having read the original novel. It focused more on the characters and the politics than the BattleMech combat, which worked nicely for me. The production values were fine, and overall I thought it was a great little package.

The plots of the short stories were interesting but missing some key points. I did not always understand where we were, why we were there and what we were doing there. Horrible sound effects permeate the media which gets really annoying after continuous listening. narration is muffled.

If they release these as complete works with new narration I would enjoy that.
