A new look at an old trope. The meet cute was original and fun. The m/f best friendship is solid. The writing is crisp and inviting. Every character is so well written. Both MC’s are sympathetic, her hesitation is not because of an overwrought sense of independence but an honest fear of his fame. His insistence is out of need and not just lust.The story weakens halfway through but it’s it’s still sweet.

The MMC narrator is fantastic!
