Publisher's Summary

For centuries, men and women have manned lighthouses to ensure the safe passage of ships.

It is a lonely job and a thankless one for the most part. Until something goes wrong. Until a ship is in distress. In the twenty-third century, this job has moved into outer space. A network of beacons allows ships to travel across the Milky Way at many times the speed of light.

These beacons are built to be robust. They never break down. They never fail.

At least, they aren’t supposed to.

Good performance, but poorly developed story

This story felt underdeveloped, like they spent the entire book doing an introduction then 5 minutes later it was done. I don’t think I’d have even finished it except for being too busy to take the time to search for something better to listen to!

A charming Sci fi story

At first I wasn't sure I was going to like the main character but I began to enjoy the story as it went longer. A nice story about a soldier with PTSD and a little mystery. A fun time
