Story
Jacqueline Keys was ostracized from her small hometown of Pine Springs, Texas, when she was 17, sent away because she was gay. Fifteen years later - long after she'd hitch-hiked to Los Angeles, put herself through college, and had written her first best seller - Jacqueline is persuaded to go back to the tiny town of Pine Springs after her father's death. The quick trip she'd envisioned for the funeral turns into weeks as she learns her father's business is suddenly hers to manage. And she is also again face-to-face with the woman who, as a teen, had been Jackie's first crush.

On paper, Jordan Cohen has it all. With numerous best sellers under her belt, a number of blockbuster movie adaptations to her credit, and a high-profile relationship with one of Hollywood's most prominent stars, what more could she possibly ask for? When an ongoing case of writer's block triggers a series of unforeseeable events, Jordan is forced to face the tragedies of her past and reevaluate the life she has been contentedly coasting through.

Story
Life has become a farcical mess for icy British A-lister Elizabeth Thornton. America's most-hated villain stars in a top-rated TV medical drama that she hates. Now, she's been romantically linked to her perky, new co-star, Summer, due to the young woman's clumsiness. As a closeted actress, that's the last thing Elizabeth needs. If she could just get her dream movie role, life would be so much better. The only problem is that the eccentric French film-maker offering it insists on meeting her "girlfriend", Summer, first.

Publisher's Summary
Who says you can’t go home again?
Philadelphia real estate broker Devyn Winters is at the peak of her career, closing multi-million dollar deals and relishing it. She’s pretty much blocked out her formative years in Dreamer’s Bay, where the most exciting thing to happen was the twice a year bake sale. Unfortunately, a distress call hauls her back home and away from the life she’s constructed. Now the question is just how long until she can leave again? And when did boring Elizabeth Draper get so beautiful?
Elizabeth Draper loves people, free time, and a good cup of coffee in the warm sunlight. In the quaint town of Dreamer’s Bay, she’s the only employee of "On the Spot", an odd jobs company. She remembers Devyn Winters as shallow in high school, but now everything about Devyn makes her lose focus. Though her brain knows Devyn is only home temporarily, her heart didn’t seem to get the memo.

Wonderful book by my fav author and least fav narrator.
If you see this Ms. Brayden, this is a fantastic book. Please bring back Felicity Munroe. This is a classic Melissa Brayden story. It ranks up there with Sweeter than Chocolate, Just Three Words, and, Waiting in the Wings, in my opinion. I thought it was going to be predictable a few times, but I was pleasantly surprised along the way. It’s similar to Sweeter than Chocolate, with the two leading ladies very similar to Jordan and Molly, but different story all together. My thoughts on Melissa Sternenburg... she has this terrible tendency to make one of her characters sound like a young girl. Elizabeth sounds better then her rendition of Hadley Cooper (I couldn’t listen to the 4th Seven Shores book due to this), but still. It’s hard to get fully taken away by the story when one of the MCs sounds like she’s 11. I wholly miss Ms. Munroe and her voice for characters like Jessica and Hope from the SOHO Series 😏. If you love Brayden like I do, this story is adorable.

Loved it!
Great story with a super sweet ending. my only issue is the narrator's high pitched voice. I've heard this narrator several times by now and it reminds me of the Chippettes and that takes away from the story for me... silly complaint. loved both main characters and really enjoyed the book.

Cute
The story was cute and the characters very likeable, even the mum. The narrator did a good job with all the voices and accents. Like most romances, it was very predictable, which is fine. My only quibble was that it got a little too cheesy in parts and the ending drug out a bit too far. I do look forward to her next book and hearing the narrator again.

Great story
Loved this one. At one point I'm pretty sure I heard a cat which made me giggle (seeing as I have no cats) so I'm sure it was in the recording accidentally. Story wise, one of my favorites for sure. Love this author and love that the narrator has stuck with these books for a while long. Growing up, it was so difficult finding lesbian romance that wasn't pure smut. My heart swells at how much times have changed. <3

this book was cathartic for me on a lot of levels. It was very relatable and I adored the self described quirky character in the story. the dialogue was unforgettable.."let's have a summit" Im stealing that for my vocabulary! powerful to see the transformations within the story and the role of vulnerability.

I loved it.
