Publisher's Summary

One stupid party. One stupid boy. One stupid kiss. And my life was virtually over.

Tessa McCaide has a unique talent for getting into trouble. Then again, it isn’t easy for a girl with psychic visions to ignore what she sees. Luckily Tessa and her family are leaving California and moving halfway across the country, giving her the perfect opportunity to leave her reputation as “Freaky Tessa” behind.

But Tessa doesn’t realize that kissing the wrong guy in her new Texas town could land her in far more trouble than she ever imagined. Like being forced to attend St. Ailbe’s Academy, a secret boarding school for werewolves.

Even if the wrong guy did accidentally turn her into a shape-shifter and doom her to attending the weirdest high school ever, Tessa can’t help her growing attraction to the mysterious Dastien Laurent.

When vampires attack St. Ailbe’s and her visions pinpoint an enemy in their midst, Tessa realizes that boy drama and her newfound canine tendencies might just be the least of her problems.

Kept me curious

I came across this while looking for more books read by Elizabeth, that with my love for the supernatural and the good price I picked it up. it's a bit slow and very heavy on the teen drama but enough interesting things happened to make me want to know whats next. overall a good listen if you like myself love to hear Elizabeth read and have a taste for all things supernatural, also if you're into teen drama a little something for everyone.

not worth it

one of if not the worst books I have had the bad luck to try most makes no sense the main character is at some times a smart person the rest of the time she makes a bird walking up to a snake look smart and the one that is supposed to be her mate is supposed to be a alpha yet he acts like a spoiled brat whining about everything he can't even get up the nerve to talk to her after he changed her and then all the religious crap makes me wonder if I am in a church service half the time DON'T WAST YOUR CREDITS OR MONEY!

Preteens will probably like this

This book is pretty meh. the main character is a little too 'cool'. Super special, super unique, super powerful, super outspoken for herself... the epitome of what every young girl wishes to be. But oh so DRAMATIC and dense about the weirdest stuff.

The writing was okay, but the plot holes were just... I scratched my head asking why a lot.

the narrator was honestly annoying for me.

Not Worth it

Ok so I originally read this book 4 -5 years ago. It was the bomb .com and everything. I loved it thought the main chick T was awesome. Kinda recklessly stupid at times but you don't think you just act I got the audiobook yesterday n binged it. I forgot that she falls for the main guy D. Mind you throughout the majority of the book D was acting like he didn't have enough balls to talk her.

The main character T actually saying this still falls for D. I mean hard. Puppy dog eyes and everything.
For an alpha she has more balls than him.
T is a piece of work in her own right but at least when she runs she is smart about it.
I can't do an alpha male without balls. Heck I'll take a pushy male wolf over D any day.

I'd say this is ment for teens but heck he bit her then ran with his tail tucked.

Overall this is a 2 star book series

compelling

you can definitely tell it's for teens and it's unfortunately lacking in the romance department because of that which is frustrating but also appropriate because it would be weird to read about teenagers having sex. but that's how the book is intended to be so not a complaint so much as a comment letting others know.

I am 100%hooked on the series. the first few pages had me curious but once things started rolling I just couldn't stop. there were so many moments where I felt I was right there with her and wanted to help.

I was a bit frustrated at Tessa's lack of knowledge because I thought seriously with sl the reading she does she's never read a shifter romance book? or like I get that it's hard to accept the fact the you are a warewolf and I'm ok with that but once you've accepted warewolves are real you still think witches and magik and vampires are crazy talk? that's ridiculous. but the story kept things moving so it wasn't too hard to get past it.

the narration was amazing. I usually HATE female narrators and can't stand to listen to them at all but this one was a perfect fit and I'm super glad I gave it a try.

highly recommend. great for readers of all ages.

Love this book

This series is one of the best. Great story easy to follow. Once I started I couldn't stop listening until the end. It has a great mix of wolves, witches, vampire, and much more. It shows that love, family, and friends can over come all odds. The details make you feel like you are really there. You can feel and see what is happening to each character.
