I appreciate all the work I've come across by this author, but once I heard her voice I was in love. She is the perfect narrator for bedtime stories. Soothing and nurturing like a gentle motherly figure tucking you in to bed! I only wish there was more content included, I keep replaying the same stories before bed.

A great cure for insominia!
Any additional comments?
The narrator's voice is incredibly soothing and caring. After she encourages you to fix your favourite pillow in place and assures you that there is no judgment if you fall asleep whilst she is reading, it took me four days to listen to the entire (very short) book. The bedtime stories are not new, but they do take you back to a time when they mattered for many of us. Somewhere in between thinking that adults 'don't do this' and the alluring sense of feeling that all is okay, it is hard not to submit to sleep. Once listened to, I won't re-listen again too soon, but can't bring myself to delete the book from my library either!

Excellent with unfortunate “Audible” tag at end
This is excellent, as is everything by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. I’ve had insomnia for years. The stories and storyteller help me drift to sleep. I’m very happy with it.
However, why did the Audible producers include an “Audible” tag at the end of the recording? The voice is completely dissonant with the experience of the stories and jolts me awake. I can set the timer to turn off the stories prior to the end and, therefore, the Audible tag doesn’t play. Simple enough, but the experience and overall quality would be much improved if Audible did not include its own tag at the end.

over all nice
ok, so here's both sides. the best elements is the background music really nice.. 2nd her voice is soothing and parts we're calming, comforting and enjoyable.
the negative side is the stories..they didn't relax my mind at all. especially the first one.
it caused more anxiety than I had prior to listening. I said the over book was nice but really just ok based on the story.

Essential
Of course the stories are wonderful and her voice mesmerizing, but what is essential for me is the fact that they are bedtime stories, and. It is a soothing package I use night after night and year after year to soothe me to sleep.
It's a package of relaxation, empowerment and travel to other worlds. It puts my nervous system in just the right place for a good nights sleep and it is better than a sound machine

Disappointing
I love her work, and looked forward to more of Dr.Estes spoken word since buying Women Who Run With The Wolves many years ago. I have The Beginners Dream Interpretation and one or two others.
This was a bit of rehash for me. Her gorgeous mellifluous voice felt very precious towards the ends...a bit contrived and I lost interest.
