Publisher's Summary

Atticus Blake is an unsuspecting young gay boy who, early on in life, was derailed from the true admission of who he was. Having the influences of obsessive-compulsive disorder, religion, confusion, love, and obsession, he hides who he is from everyone he loves. That is, until his doubts overcame his fear of learning and led him to reason, rationality, and, most of all, acceptance of his sexuality.

I love this book!

This is a compelling true story of the struggle Atticus had to overcome both his childhood indoctrination and his OCD. His story gives hope to others of us who are facing our own issues with religion and the guilt that it causes if we can't be what our church, and the Bible, says we should be, and the challenges we face when we leave our religion behind. He reminds us that the fight might be hard, but the rewards are well worth the cost. This book is beautifully written and narrated by Atticus and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I enjoyed it immensely

The book carried me away, the story was both very insightful and heartbreaking at times. I highly recommend it to people who enjoy autobiographies and human experience.
The reader's voice adds a lot to the story although I got a bit distracted by the breathing noise.
