Publisher's Summary
After a tornado rips through her town, store owner Abigail comes across a piece of fabric from a wedding dress among the devastation. Abigail is moved to start collecting other swatches of fabric she finds - her neighbor’s kitchen curtains, a man’s necktie, a dog’s bed - which she stashes in shopping bags. As she pursues her seemingly absurd quest, horrible realities spark the question, “What kind of a God would allow such tragedy?” As she struggles to reconcile her right to happiness amidst the destruction, Abigail begins piecing together a patchwork quilt from the salvaged fabric in hopes it will bring some peace. But a new relationship with Justin, a contractor, may require too much of her fragile heart. Will her pain and questions of faith give way to the courage to love?

Well written so I could not put it down
I liked the variety of characters. The story line is a gift of a heart Turing gift of the grace of God. Thank you. I learned something. I will make prayer pockets for my friends.

I really enjoyed it
I've never experienced a tornado in my life. (I lost a tree during a hurricane once.) The writer makes you feel like you're right in the middle of it all. I felt the moments of worldliness, concern, fear, relief, grief, repentance, and the love and peace of God along with the characters. The narrator did a great job with the voices.

Dynamic Book
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were surreal. I must say I read this at a time when I was going through several storms and was helped tremendously. Good real life application. Will be purchasing next in series.

Truly worth listening to
I listen to audiobooks constantly but don’t often take the time to review many of them. I loved everything about this story. My emotions went up and down with the loss and the rebuilding of all the characters. God was woven so well into this story it seemed natural as it should be. This is one of the best stories I’ve listened to in a long time.

Wonderful
this was a great story. I hadn't read the description so I didn't know what to expect. the story was mostly about love, friendships, taking care of your neighbor, learning to trust others and learning to trust in the Lord.

Fear or Forgiveness!
As an avid book reader I have read hundreds of books in the last year and none has had the effect on me that this book did. The story was heartfelt and very realistic. It made me laugh and cry, get angry and even question "Why God?" But what I loved most about the book is how it gives direction in coping with loss and rebuilding after tragity and reminding us all that a cord of three strands can not be broken as long as one of those strands is Jesus. An amazing book, and very well performed.

Great book and narration.
One of the best books I have listened to in a while. I live in north Texas and my husband lived through the 1979 tornado outbreak. There was nothing left of his house but the hallway his family took shelter in. I found this story to be totally in line with his description. Good job!
