Publisher's Summary

Originally published as Little Lies.

Pirriwee Public is a beautiful little beachside primary school where children are taught that ‘sharing is caring'. So how has the annual School Trivia Night ended in full-blown riot? Sirens are wailing. People are screaming. The principal is mortified.

And one parent is dead.

Was it a murder, a tragic accident, or just good parents gone bad? As the parents at Pirriwee Public are about to discover, sometimes it’s the little lies that turn out to be the most lethal. Little Lies is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, school-yard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.

Please note: This is the same audiobook as Big Little Lies, also available from audible.com

Loved the Novel:Audio and TV mini series

I watched the TV mini series first which lead me to purchasing the novel. I loved the mini series . It was very well done but the storyline was changed somewhat from the book. Ie in California for one. Watch it!!!
The narrator, Caroline Lee did a marvellous job of capturing these characters. It could easily visualize these women and their mannerisms. The story is well done leading up to the big event - the ending told first. The unfolding of the story builds the anticipation but you absolutely never guess what really happens. Get job!!! I will look forward to listening/reading further novels by Liane Moriarty.

Good story....

Good story.... Can be hard to follow at first due to the number of characters.
Found the ending to drag on a bit.

Fantastic!

Amazing story- loved the reader, this book made me laugh out loud every time I opened it. It had a great twist, nothing I saw coming, and I highly recommend it to anyone!! It is a lighter read but so relatable. I will definitely be listening to this book again and recommending it to all my friends and family! Extremely well written.

Perfection, didn’t want it to end

I loved every second of this book. Caroline was my most perfect narrator. So much so that the next book choice was mainly on her merit. It was fun, warm hearted and intense. A lot of strong female characters, which I love. And even the ‘victims’ were stronger than the bullying males. Making this book refreshing. I never watched the series (must be one of the very few in this world apparently) the story was fresh and engaging.
I don’t think I have ever been early in my life, yet I chomped at the bits for my morning fix to work, arriving... at least in time! New beginnings?!

Sensitive issues but made me laugh out loud

I wouldn't have ever thought I'd love a book about a bunch of Aussie kindergarten Moms but this was amazing. It dealt with serious issues really thoughtfully and also made me laugh out loud. The women in this book are awesome too - not perfect but you love them all the more for it.

Excellent Narrator

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It is an interesting enough story, but the narration is excellent.
The theme of the book is how much of our understanding is based upon appearances instead of reality.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Madeline.

What about Caroline Lee’s performance did you like?

She's very talented.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not especially.

Any additional comments?

Very enjoyable.
