Pendragon Trial by Fire, Pivot Point for Friends
Bobby's adventures continue with his first visit to a non-human society, where humans are called Gars and are considered a lower life form. While he is dealing with the ultimate culture shock and trying to stay alive, Mark and Courtney find that in order to do what they feel is the right thing they have to break some rules. They find out the hard way that you don't get to choose the consequences when you break rules, and sometimes others pay for your choices.
This series is amazing, and fun. I especially love this book because I am a parent, and my kids love this series. When they get to this book there are so many life lessons that can be learned from these words. How often do we set out to do something good, for all the best reasons, and along the way make choices the end up haveing unexpected and unintended consequences? I love how real the characters are, and how true to themselves they stay. Mr. MacHale has created each of them with unique motivations and drives, and even thought the series covers a significant age range for all of them, they are believable and embracable.
Mr. Dufris' performance in these books is magical. He brings the story to life. It is not just someone reading words from a page. It is a tallented voice actor making each individual unique, identifiable, and exciting. Some reviewers have complained about his performance. I thoroughly disagree. His reading is part of what makes it so fun to listen to these stories over and over again.
Thank you both for hours and hours of uplifting family entertainment.

Great book in a great series.
Honestly the plot twists in this series never fail to amaze me. The end had my tearing up and I can’t help but give credit to both the author of this series and the reader did a great job with all the characters and emotions

Excellent!
The next book in the Pendragon series is as captivating and wonderful as those that come before. William Dufris does a really excellent job creating character voices and putting feeling into the words of Bobby Pendragon’s fantastic story. This is an audiobook that can be listened to many times and not gotten bored of. I love the whole series, and the performances that go with it.

Couldn't stop listening!
I used to read these as a kid but never got around to finishing the series. It's been years since I read Reality Bug but Black Water makes it easy to jump back in again. The writer does a great job portraying every territory in the series and I must say, I agree with Bobby, I hate Eelong! You know you've found a great piece when you can feel the same way the character feels. I will admit that William Dufris can be a little be much at times, but I think I got used to him. He does tone it down to acceptable levels after the 1st chapters.

Can't turn it off!
I can't believe how much this series has sucked me in. From the beginning I HAD to know what happens and figure out what Saint Dane is up to. Things are getting serious after what happened on Veelox. Oh, and my heart broke during Journal #19. I gotta go start Rivers of Zadaa right now!
