New York Times best seller

It’s time for a Black exit. Political activist and social media star Candace Owens addresses the many ways that Democrat Party policies hurt, rather than help, the African American community and why she and many others are turning right.

Black Americans have long been shackled to the Democrats. Seeing no viable alternative, they have watched liberal politicians take the Black vote for granted without pledging anything in return. In Blackout, Owens argues that this automatic allegiance is both illogical and unearned. She contends that the Democrat Party has a long history of racism and exposes the ideals that hinder the Black community’s ability to rise above poverty, live independent and successful lives, and be an active part of the American dream.

Instead, Owens offers up a different ideology by issuing a challenge: It’s time for a major Black exodus. From dependency, from victimhood, from miseducation - and the Democrat Party, which perpetuates all three. Owens explains that government assistance is a double-edged sword, that the left dismisses the faith so important to the Black community, that Democrat permissiveness toward abortion disproportionately affects Black babies, that the #MeToo movement hurts Black men, and much more. Weaving in her personal story, which ushered her from a roach-infested low-income apartment to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, she demonstrates how she overcame her setbacks and challenges despite the cultural expectation that she should embrace a victim mentality.

Well-researched and intelligently argued, Blackout lays bare the myth that all Black people should vote Democrat - and shows why turning to the right will leave them happier, more successful, and more self-sufficient.

Exceptionally written and beautifully articulated

This book has so much wisdom and intelligence throughout the pages. I completely enjoyed the Audible so much so that I have ordered the hard copy to have in my library. This young woman is a true inspiration to a growing population of people that are transitioning in to becoming free thinkers themselves. God bless Candace Owens.

I feel sorry for this woman

I read the book hoping to learn something. She seems confused or just oblivious to current events.

I recommend this book to all those who crave constant fear and anger in their lives.

Plenty of truth

Boldly written and told by CO. I wish I had read this following the BLM movement to better understand the other side of the coin. We’re long past the time for people to wake up.

Honesty and accuracy

A great honest look at America by a brilliant person. Very well written, and well researched. Everyone would benefit from reading this gem. Unfortunately for the US, Mr Trump did not win the 2020 election, but the book is still invaluable for American society as it reveals the truth about the Democratic Party and its history.

an interesting listen

it is a very interesting story. The account of her life as a student I find very believable. The way she speaks about her experiences throughout life is definitely something that a lot of people can see but far too many people are not willing to admit that that's how they also see what's going on.

Thought provoking!

I love this book. As a black women and conservative, I find this audiobook highly fascinating, thought provoking & meticulously well spoken. Far too often black women voters are a forgone conclusion. When ladies, such as Candace and myself speak out about these issues, we are suppressed, bullied and threatened. It is time that more black women garner the courage to speak out and demand that our needs are met both interracially and intraracially.

I thought I was a Democrat until now.

She hits every topic on the head. I see my self as Democrat and only downloaded to see what the other side has to say. I was blown away. Everything she said I wonder why I haven’t ever heard of this before. A great listen.

Unfortunate

I was looking forward to being persuaded to become a conservative. What I got was a series of inconsistencies where the author would give an example of what was wrong and in the very next chapter use that same example to talk about great things being done. At the end of the day The entire argument seems to be don’t vote for people that create a victim mentality. Instead vote for the people that victimize you (as well as many others that find themselves in a lower socioeconomic condition). The argument is nonsensical at its core. There were parts of the book I agreed with that dealt with self determination as a core responsibility but not even an attempt to define conservatism in order to enlighten me, just endless examples of how the liberals brainwash you. Someone should let her know that today’s conservative republican is the party of Lincoln in name only. I am an independent and I believe in science.

I have often asked myself, why people vote for the “liberal” candidates, it’s way more sinister than I realized!!

Reading the facts uncovered and shoved into the light. No double talk... Cold. Hard. Math. The level of insincerity rolling off most politicians is enough to make me sick, hearing the numbers and outcomes their lies produce, breaks my heart. Ms. Owens has written a beautiful, wrenching, history/retrospective of exactly what has happened to our tax dollars over the last 60 years. I’m ready to start a go fund me page so I can buy a copy of this book for every black citizen in my congressional district. My friends have heard plenty of lies... they need the truth. What the Democrats have done should be punishable under the law.

A Contemporary Masterpiece!

Candace covers a wide range of topics and uses logic, reasoning, statistics and personal and public Accounts that will rock some people's worldview and will challenge conservatives to continue the struggle. It is very thought-provoking, very well written, and should be studied and discussed by all.
