Publisher's Summary

Charlie Naylor is a good guy, but he's never been great at multi-tasking. When Larynk, the god of corn, sends Charlie into a fantasy game, he just can't help himself trying. By combining his love of daggers, magic, and animals, he becomes the Blademage Beastmaster.

With a dangerous new pet, a deadly selection of daggers, and some awesome spells, he must make allies and kill monsters as he walks his path to glory. If he can do that, then he might just create a legacy for himself.

He used to work in an office where he pushed paper, filled in spreadsheets, and made coffee. Now, he casts, conjures, stabs, and tames.

A good listen for children perhaps.

It read like a teen lit in many ways, it starts off confusing and doesn’t really clear up. The voice acting was very good because without him I don’t think I’d have finished the story. I like the idea behind the story but it really needed a lot more work. More detail. Everything about the story was just falling into his lap. He didn’t really have true trouble and his sidekicks where just there. Hard to even like them or get a feel for them with what personalities they had and how forced into friendship they seemed to be. Maybe the next novel will be better but I wouldn’t suggest getting this book unless your just breaking into the genre.
