Publisher's Summary

People will make their mind about you in a matter of seconds.

Did you know your body language can influence what your boss, family, friends, and strangers think of you? Do you sometimes feel socially awkward around new people because you can’t really tell what their gestures are saying or what your own gestures are saying?

When we talk, we say very little because it's our body that does the real talking! We express so much more subconsciously through our physical behavior, body posture, gestures, eye movement, facial expressions, touch, and the use of space. So why not learn how to use this to your advantage? Or just take time to listen because it is very interesting.

This book has the ability to totally change your life. You will learn what body language signs you should look for when you want to know whether the person who is talking to you is telling the truth or is trying to con you. It will always give you that edge, so you can adjust your game plan to steer things in the direction you want!

Good but not Great

Good information and reminders for people in sales, especially those new to the profession. Although those who have been in the game much longer and are serious students of their craft a lot of the information will be already known. The book is worth it if you have no knowledge about how to read people at all. If you do have knowledge about non verbal communication I would pass.

Editing

There is a part around the end of the book regarding public speaking where the reader stumbles over a line and curses about the word play. This part was missed in editing.

great book.

This is a very informative book — all of the information easy to understand. I am reading this book then I have got lots of confidence. In this book, you will discover the different types of body language cues and how to read them, and how to best communicate with each of the four main personality types using this information we obtained.

Body language explained!!!!

it is easy to understand the theoretical aspect of body language, but trying to apply all that you learned about it in real life situations.. Well, it's safe to say its hard as hell. And that's why I'm impressed by the author. Somehow he managed to bring this topic to all of us in a manner that's so reader-friendly, which is quite difficult.

Very Interesting and Recommended!!!

This is very important for me as a teacher. I want to know more about how it can affect my students when they attend their first interview. I always tell them that words are not enough. Now I will be able to teach them how to have the best gestures. I can also apply it for myself and get good results from doing it to reading other people's mind.

Great for a first-time body language book!!

The illustrations are great, however it would have been nice for more of the really subtle movements to have a contrasting image to compare it to, side by side. The text is very easy to understand, and would benefit anyone, especially anyone who would like an overview without hard to understand theological terms. Very informative.

good ideas and tips!!!!

This is a great book! It has a lot of interesting info. I love the fact that it got to the point, and didn't drag out the story. Be able to understand and read peoples mind by their actions, how they speak and from their behavior. The book was written in a very simple way for better and easier understanding.

Highly recommended!!!

I found particularly interesting the parts where the author explains how the same gestures are differently perceived in different cultures. Another useful part is reading the body language of your baby, which I must admit, didn't know much of. I would recommend this book to anyone because this book can really help you improve your communication not only in your professional life but also in your personal relationships.
