Not what I would recommend as a therapist who works primarily with children

Very much based in outdated religious views of family structure and discipline. I will not be recommending this book to clients as I feel some of the information is harmful to loving parenting practices.

I can already see a difference!

I’ve been implementing the things that I’ve learned in this book and have seen a difference in my relationship with my kids. I will be re-listening to this throughout each year to have it fresh on my mind.

Eye opening and revealing book

Great step by step way to guide you through the path of being loving and firm with your kid. Made a big difference in the way I conceive and apply limits.

Great concepts, voice is distracting

I feel like the concepts are very helpful but the narrator’s voice is robotic, fast, and distracting. Slowing the tempo down makes it almost as distracting and I can’t focus on the content. I’ll be eventually buying the physical book.

Great book for all parents

I loved this book. Boundaries is something that isn't always talked about. This book shows a healthy approach to boundaries, and how using them correctly can really help with parenting.

Great Biblical references. On Point!

I am so appreciative of Cloud's stance, taken directly from the Bible. It's a really helpful book. Cloud does a great job of not only addressing a great deal of parental struggles, but also states ways to address them. Although painful, he presents the view that at least some of the challenges arise as a result of parents themselves lacking boundaries. I will listen to this audio book again and purchase the written version as well to have on hand for reference.

Imperative

As an adult who has struggled with boundaries all my life, and recognizing that many others do as well, I think this book is imperative for parents and grandparents to read and stop the cycle of poor or no boundaries. When I decided to become a parent, I knew I wanted to follow a lot of these concepts, and this book provides a road map for that.

Renewed

I realized I was setting boundaries for my kids but giving them three chances before I took action and was not consign following through. Now I have a renewed approach where spanking (which I did minimally) will be delayed as I use these new tools. Thank you the authors.
