Publisher's Summary

One corpse. Several bizarre looking attackers. Some very strange magical powers. And a severe bout of amnesia.

Madrona is not having a great week. It's going to be okay, though. All she has to do is find out who she really is, protect a soap star from being attacked by a stalker, and work out why so many people seem so afraid of her. Because surely she's a good person. Right?

Unfortunate

This book and most likely the entire series if it continues like this are unfortunately a very poor offering when compared to her previous books. I hated pretty much everything about this story. I kept turning it off because it was so boring. The only good part was the narrator.

over all 3.5

it was decent I enjoyed a lot of the phrases but the story didn't really go anywhere till the end. The ending felt forced like it wasn't really an ending but a forced reason to buy the next book, in hopes that it keeps up with the pace that was starting to build in the last chapter. Over all the story line has a nice build to characters and interesting main character.

Eh

I enjoyed it in the beginning when she didn’t retain any memory, once the story progressed I found myself cringing more. Also what a horrible ending.

Not Helen Harper's best

Started OK, but it was obvious from about the middle of the book onward that it was more disjointed than just the main characters loss of memory. Some parts didn't really fit at all and other's were too predictable. I have read or listened to a lot of Helen Harper's books and felt this one was no where near her best, actually below average. Not sure I will listen to the next in the series, which is a first for any of her books.
