My entire life has been one steady plan after another.

Go to college. Get married. Have a successful career.

More than a decade goes by, and my entire world is rocked in more ways than one. Everything I thought I knew is ripped from under me in one fell swoop.

Then I meet him: the enticing man behind the camera with the boyish grin and charismatic energy who makes me question everything. He was only supposed to be a means to an end. But what I got was so much more.

the story line is good, the characters are believable and the narrators bring it to life but the attention to detail bugs me. Vaughn 's eyes go from ocean blue, jade, emerald and ice blue. little inconsistencies like that catch in my brain.

Great story and narrators are on point

This author really needs a good editor. I have a laundry list of things I didn't enjoy about this book but I'll stick to the main ones.

1. the casual alcoholism. they drank so. much. Every occasion, good or bad, meant they needed to get drunk. so weird.

2. this book could have been half as long if the author didn't include the boring minutiae of air travel, pizza delivery, and checking phones.

3. I kept reading because I was intrigued by the premise but I wish I'd given up, especially since halfway through, the book became basically only the two MCs having uninspiring s*x. then there was way too much plot tacked on at the end. in the middle of that, I didn't feel the love connection. they had s*x and texted like friends but there was nothing that made me feel like either of them cared much.

on the positive side, the readers did well.

Yikes
