An actress since she was 14 years old, Paige Lockwood finds herself craving a little normalcy after a scandal rocks her otherwise predictable world. With everyone in her life attempting to control her, she takes matters into her own hands and leaves town without so much as a plan or a destination.

But the destination finds her as car trouble forces Paige to settle down in a small Southern town as she waits for repairs. There she meets the handsome, albeit standoffish, Tatum Montgomery, and both of their lives are forever altered as they learn that sometimes when you aren't looking for love, it finds you anyway. Paige is such a weak individual. Her inner voice is ridiculous. Quite frustrating how unable to speak for herself or stand up forself! She is so lucky to have Quinn.

Cheering for Tatum was easy, you can see truly feel his anguish and pain, all you want is for him and Paige'd happily ever after. But when Brina messes everything up for them, all you want to do is slap her silly.

First, Erin Mallon was great in this story, all her weird inflections were absent. Jason Clark
was his usual great self. A really nice story with J. Sterling’s signature no unnecessary drama style or overdone FL. Looking forward to reading another.

This was a wonderful story. Both Paige and Tatum are flawed humans, and it makes this story wonderful. I'm not sure why there's hate over Paige's character development. I didn't find her whiney or weak, I found her real and believable considering the environment the story is set in. This was a great second book and I loved their story.

The narration was excellent as usual.

Two new narrators in the next book but really want to see where Quinn and Ryson’s life heads.

Paige & Tatum are lovely together and I really love how he grounds her when she breezes into town. Her relationship with her agent/manager is disappointing because I figure someone who's been in the business for THAT long would know when their employees are genuine. Other than me hating on how Paige lets them walk over her, the story is entertaining.

Who talks like that about a guy they met 24 hours ago? His side of physical attraction and being afraid made more sense. Not believable. You really need some time to make this true.
