A little boring

It was read as if very interesting and informative. So kudos to the orator. But the book itself I found dull.

Amazing exercises

Provides good and concise advice/exercises backed with real life scenario examples. Helpful for a recovering addict like myself to "detox" and develop strategies to avoid relapse, guilt, shame, and depression.

Very Helpful in learning to think differently!

I have truly been helped by this "audio" version of this book. Now I recognize I have a problem and that my behavior is not "normal adult" behavior.

Really Really good, but....

From start to finish I was engaged and taking notes. Practically a therapist on your phone, really good actionable tips and insights from someone who really understands being under the influence. However I wish there could be a new edition of this book with revisions as at times it felt a little dated.
Presumably at the time the book was written high-speed internet adult content was not as prevalent as it is today. Internet content was only occasionally mentioned in-passing and only remedy was to just "set up rules".
it referenced magazines, adult shops, adult movie theaters and topless bars (the latter of which I had to look up because I didn't believe such places existed).
While the principles are still the same and they still are effective such as practicing mindfulness and persistent self dialogue that helps with discipline.
I feel like it could really use an update, barring that its still worth a listen.

This book HELPS

Any additional comments?

This book deserves 10/10. Listening to it consistently has cleansed my mind of sexual thoughts. It's given me a healthier mind. When I stop listening to this book for a week, I end up relapsing, but then I start listening at least an hour a day again, and I no longer feel like I'm a slave of my sexual desires.

I struggle with depression, so masturbation offers a temporary way to relieve stress, and gain pleasure, but it's bad long-term. Thank God for this book.

The road to recovery is long, and steep, but this book functions as a rope that keeps you from falling back down.

Insightful

I found this book inspiring and insightful. I appreciated how straightforward the information and dialogue is. Did not feel like it was just another fluffy feel good book but instead an honest discussion with a close friend.
