Publisher's Summary

Marjorie Steel is still healing from the events of the past year, and she’s happy to put her plans to study culinary arts on hold to help her best friend deal with a difficult pregnancy and two recently adopted troubled boys. The fact that Bryce Simpson spends a lot of time at the Steel Ranch is a benefit, and she’s ready to see if her attraction to him might be something more.

Bryce wants to do a hard day’s work on the ranch. Once his muscles give out and he collapses from exhaustion, maybe he’ll stop torturing himself over his late father’s horrific double life. The Steels have a different idea. They ask Bryce to take an executive position complete with a profit share. As he has a young son and widowed mother to support, it’s an offer he can’t refuse. The only catch is Marjorie. She’s beautiful, smart, feisty, and her kisses set him on fire. But he’s an empty shell with nothing to offer her, and she deserves the world.

As the sins of his father continue to haunt him, Bryce learns the horrors of the past may not yet be buried.

Way too short.

This book was way too short, A waste of time. I was very disappointed that there was no ending. If she had written another 2 hours she could have finished the book. I don't think I will buy the next book it's a sneaky tactic to get more money for another book.

Too Short

The story felt so rushed and repetitive with no real answers and then abruptly ended. For the wait, I expected more.

So sorry I waited 2 years for this

First off the narration was unbearable. I so miss Sebastian York as the male lead. And the immaturity of the characters especially Bryce as a 38 year old man. I could not wait to finish this book and won’t purchase the next in the series because I don’t like these characters

No ending need to buy books if want ending

I don't like that some of the story is with the romance package and others are not guessing I would need to buy to more books with my credits if I want to finish the story of this couple.

Narrators were extremely annoying!!

The book was good but I hate all of the cliffhangers in this saga. And the female narrator in the first few books of the saga was terrible like both of the narrators in this book. The make narrators voicw could have been okay but ot sounded like he needed to clear his throat the entire time.
And the Margery really does sound like a spoiled brat. I loved the story but it was to short and needed to have a good ending. Im so sick of the cliffhangers in these books. Honestly this Saga should be a 3 or 4 book series.
To the auther, I have enjoyed tour books so far for the most part but please take sone advice from your readers and stop with the cliffhangers and adding in fillers wherr they are not needed like in parts where your finally getting to the good parts and you interrupt with unnecessary writing and BS.

Unanswered Questions with a Major Cliffhanger

I have listened to the Steel Brothers since the beginning and each book was good, but the last few have been mentally exhausting. The plots have been leaving more unanswered questions and the endings have been major cliffhangers that are frustrating. It's like, just when the story was getting good, the cliffy happened. I do love Marjorie having her own story, but I'm not sure if I like her with Bryce. He is going through so much with finding out about his Dad and the impact he's had on the Steel Family, that it seems a little far fetched that this relationship can thrive. Knowing how the cliffhangers are, I'm not sure if I want to listen to the next book. I do want to know how it all ends, but I'm apprehensive about the ending. Since there is a little over a month before book 12, I may take a chance. I do love the Brothers and their females, but I loathe the cliffhangers and unanswered questions.
