Yes It really is personal

The book is a detailed collection of a “how I made it despite incredibly obstacles.” It is a personal account of this woman’s businesses.

Let’s be clear: This isn’t a guide to building a financial model or why EBITDA is an important measure of success. There are libraries of books and many very free blogs on the nitty gritty important details of running a business. The book never claims to be that.

It tackles much more complex problems - like how to cultivate a culture within yourself as an entrepreneur and then bring it to your organization, or multiple companies. The thread woven through the book is perseverance and that is truly inspiring to those who know the details but are looking for an inspirational behind the scenes take on building enterprise. I actually enjoyed the calm, confident and slow paced tempo of the book.

Highly recommended!

Don’t waste your money.

There aren’t a ton of takeaways here; just anecdotal experience of the author. There are far better business books out there. The audible version sounds like this was the first time the author read the book.

Terrible Book

The worst book I have listened to on Audible ever. Lacks any depth. Very Mundane.
