What a year

I liked this book. It was a good story and Summer made it seem like it was real full of surprise. She is a good reader. The other was pretty good but not a good reader like Summer. Thank you to Audry Carlan for such a good book bye for now

Trust the Journey

I was hesitant to get the last installment after reading some of the reviews, but I’m so glad I trusted my gut. Have no doubts. If you’ve made it through September, you must find out what happens in December.

Very Entertaining!

Every volumn of the Calendar Girls series has been enjoyable! The characters are complex and engaging and the story, which is carried from book to book is so creative. There was never a dull moment and I'm looking forwaed to more of Audrey Carlan's novels.

A great ending

This book in the series was different from the rest. Some twists and turns, but still smoking hot, with all the smiles and plenty of love from those who had come into Mia's life through out the previous months. Parts were totally a surprise and unpredictable, but made it a great storyline.

The story wasn't as fun and interesting

October gave us a new Mia, who decided to take charge of her life. Yes, she was still headed in the direction the escort service pointed her because even with her not needing to pay the debt, she was still guided by her aunt who ran the service. And when she gets to Malibu, she discovers she might just have a place among the rich and famous, a place as a host for a segment in a television show about Living Beautiful, something she takes to like a fish to water. But, it’s a challenging job, especially with what Wes is going through while away, shooting in another country where danger lurks in a way neither of them expected.

While November is a month where giving thanks is at the top of the list, Mia takes on a task involving finding out what others are thankful for in her segment. Max is finally home from his ordeal but is facing a recovery that affects both of them. As they both face the challenges of getting back into the swing of things in California and dealing with the PTSD they each suffer from, they grow closer and discover a connection neither of them can escape. This one was more emotional and had us diving into Mia’s past along with the immediate difficulties of her family. And we get to see Wes and Mia fall more deeply in love. Though filled with the usual steam and sexy time, it had a lot more feels and romance.

December takes us to Aspen, Colorado where Mia is sent by the top brass at the studio to interview up and coming artists in the area. It is here that she runs headlong into her past. The stress and suspense were intense as she faces the one person from her past who could strip her heart. Her reaction is immediate and angry, but with the man she loves and her newfound family in tow, there are other aspects to consider. And Mia has a difficult time clarifying her feelings, and Wes is there to help her through it. This last chapter of the story had its sweet moments, and it brought everything to a lovely conclusion.
Though I enjoyed where the author took the story once Mia was finished with her escorting duties, I kind of would have liked to see her continue for another month or two before the situations they faced beginning in September. But all in all, it was a good story. Perhaps there were more sex scenes than necessary, especially after Wes returns from his ordeal. But, barring the hiccup in June, it was an enjoyable story and I found the way the author wove everything together to be interesting and intriguing.

Very Nice Series

I would have adored this lovely series of four Calendar Girl books without all of the too frequent very descriptive sex scenes. For me it was over kill.

Unique storyline and I liked most of it!

The Good.
* Unique Plot and a memorable cast of characters
* The story flowed well and was intriguing
* The narrator is well spoken and stays in character
* Easy flow of characters from other novels

The Rest.
* The amount owed is one million dollars, amount earned after 1 year doesn't take into account the nearly 50% due to the tax collector
* The main character goes for a year without sex, then cannot go without it for a few days?
* Mia passes out constantly after sex?
* Mia seems to have constant orgasms each night and the guys always are ready to go no matter how many times they have already gone?
* Mia cannot seem to grasp why her man gets jealous about her other relationships but then gets jealous about his.
* Mia is adamant about refusing a windfall and wants to give it all away, even though money is a major concern. I almost stopped the series at this point as it was so unbelievable.

Overall, this is a decent story and the author builds the characters well. I have enjoyed her other stories and will continue to read her novels.
