Publisher's Summary
In this novel from #1 New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts, diamonds can be a girl's best friend...or her worst enemy.
Someone had set them both up. Now, handcuffed together, bounty hunter Jack Dakota and bail jumper M. J. O'Leary were on the run from a pair of hired killers. And M. J. wasn't talking--not even when Jack found a gigantic blue diamond hidden in her purse. Everything told Jack the sexy skip he'd been hired to recover couldn't be trusted...everything, that is, but his heart.

Good series and a steal at $5
This Narrator is the best in book 3’s story of this series. If, like me you are a 20 fan of this author, both read and audio, you know author’s style in a trilogy. So even though l read this book in the 90’s, it is pure entertainment to listen to it now. OF course ms Roberts knows how to punch up a hero in a trilogy. Don’t miss from this author the wedding series Eg Savore the Moment, narrated by the great Ms Angela Dawe or the MacGregor series the BEST.

Boring
I thought I would give the series another chance and read book 2. It's even worse than the first. I won't be reading the third in the series.

I read this story a long time ago. Now, I enjoy it through Audible. Scott Merriman did a wonderful job bring the trilogy to life. The story is enough on its own. Bringing in the mysticism takes it to the next level. The characters are engaging & it doesn't take anytime at all to be engrossed to the end.
It is interesting to read it now, times have changed so much. Today it seems everyone has a cell phone and there's GPS to find our way with computers a solid fixture for research.

2nd book as good as the first
The story of MJ and Jack continues the saga of the three stars. Action, humor and love make a great story. Performance is just fine as well.

Stars of Mithra trilogy
Book one took me awhile to get into. Once I got over the fact that Scott Merriman's voice sounded a good bit like Jack Webb and I stopped picturing "Joe Friday" as our hero, I was able to appreciate the storyline. Mr. Merriman actually does a fine job differentiating the various characters and I was able to slip into book two with no problem. Was it Nora Roberts at her best? No, but it was entertaining enough to look forward to reading the trilogy.
