If you wanna cry with both joy and grief
this is a wonderful collection of beautiful and heartfelt letters with all kinds of feelings and a healthy helping of hope. Ivan Coyote is a fantastic storyteller and their narration is so soothing and empathetic that listening to the audiobook immediately made me feel like I had been provided a safe space to cry, which I rarely do, and then I barely stopped until the book was concluded. highly recommend!

This book is a masterpiece. It’s been years since I’ve seen Ivan speak in person, and book piece so beautifully captured the experience. I’ve so missed the depth and spark and sincerity of one of their performances. ❤️

Incredible storytelling
This is the first book of Ivan Coyote's that I have listened to or read. Ivan's storytelling is touching in a way that I did not think possible given our different backgrounds (I am a gay cisgender white man). I regularly listen to books and rarely have I come across someone who performs their material so flawlessly and with such emotion.

Amazing!
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, being a departure from Ivan’s traditional style of storytelling, or so I thought anyway. This was not at all the case. It felt very much like coming home to all of the short stories I’ve read from Ivan over the years, with the addition of many wonderful voices and stories. Thank you Ivan. Amazing, as always!
