Too much audio, not enough book
Simply put there was way too much music in this recording. I like Augden Nash and expected to buy a book of his poetry. The book is 24 minutes long so I expected about 24 poems with about a minute for each. Instead I got about 14 poems, each only a few sentences that totaled about 8 minutes of time inner-mixed with about 16 minutes of piano music.

An All-Star Performance!
One of the best versions of this piece I've heard in a long time from both musicians and narrators; both sounded like they were enjoying themselves! Using both extremely well-known and lesser well-known stars for each section was a great idea!

Enchanting from beginning to end!
I loved that this familiar old story was told in a new, refreshing way by talented voices that I recognized.

fun and easy listen to fill time
wouldnt pay much for it but light listening. Found the narrator's voices softer than the music and keep having to adjust volume. Obviously actors are older now and it was fun guessing which actor was speaking.

Carnival of the Animals
The performance was excellent but I thought the reading of the poems sometimes missed the rhythm and flow if the poems.
