The plot is beyond simple and unsurprising and the characterization is weak. The female performer is very stiff at the beginning, but gets better if you’re like me and can’t quit a story even if it’s just okay.

The author is talented no doubt and the narrators were quite good. I finished the audio book because of those to things. I was ok with the plot except when the Elecia and Creed have a fight because of something he asks her to do showing little regard for their relationship. How that situation resolved itself could have been great but it was not. I felt the author should have fleshed that out properly.

This book is great ! You don’t need a morally gray MMC if you have Creed he is way more than morally gray!

Hello darkness

The storyline started off interesting and about 2/3 turned weird and the ending left something to be desired... almost as if the least 1/3 was rushed and just had to end (?). It has a weird feel to it but not wired bad just different and ok. not great but ok. I do want to see what Book 2 has to offer. The Characters do sound interesting.

Performance was great given the narrative provided.

Storyline needs to be reworked a bit and re-released.

Are the characters British or American? difficult to choose. however the story between Creed and Alicia was very endearing.

This was basically a typical romance story. It’s decent I suppose for mindless reading but there wasn’t a lot of obvious chemistry between the main characters. It was like they’re just physically attracted to each other and had sex but there really aren’t many scenes/situations to understand why they loved each other. It was just hard to be emotionally invested when it was such a superficial story.

this story has great smut but didn't enjoy the storyline or characters. the performances were decent.

I listened until the end of this awful book just to leave this review. I worried that my eyes would get stuck in the back of my head for how many time I rolled them. I love me some alpha male but this Creed character just made me cringe.

This starts as your classic dark romance. and everything is all and good until, it isn't. and then suddenly the story doesn't make any sense for the way that they have built the character s .

The world building is really great The characters are good. but the story just all of a sudden doesn't make any sense. there's no actual reason why someone who is a fighter and a survivor would put up with the scenario that she does. Not just put up with it go running back to it. and that's before the big so-called plot twist happens which is pretty much predictable. I felt like this could have been a really good story but, and I'm not adding spoilers in here, it just became very boring and the outcome was sort of a letdown.

very heteronormative which I think a lot of people really enjoy but totally was not for me. The whole acceptance of this guy's character considering her past just doesn't make any sense
