Left unsatisfied

The story started off well enough but the description of the kidnapping and subsequent rescued was full of gaps. Then the story seemed to meander off in different directions before coming to the end with weird ending. I have read and listened to a lot of Lani Lynn Vale books and this if the first one that I wasn't a fan off. Plus I bought this one it wasn't a freebie. :(
