À propos de cet audio

Sita Dulip has missed her flight out of Chicago. But instead of listening to garbled announcements in the airport, she discovers a method of bypassing the crowds at the desks, a nasty lunch, whimpering children, their punitive parents, and the blue plastic chairs bolted to the floor: she changes planes—literally. Sita discovers entire planes of existence and visits societies not found on Earth—bizarre societies that share similarities with Earth's cultures and sometimes open doors into the alien.

I have spent enough time in airports to find the idea of travelling to other planes of existence while waiting for my plane rather intriguing. I was disappointed, though, in the story, because there is no story!
This book is an imaginative travelogue for the interdimensional traveler. It reads like an encyclopedia with each chapter being a description of the life or lives on another plane. There are mini-stories within the descriptions, but overall, not very satisfying or engrossing.
This is the first Ursula Le Guin novel that I have read/listened to, and, unfortunately, if this is typical of her work, I won't be reading another.
