Story
On the night of the school prom, a young teacher is found dead in the Thames in a drug-related accident. It seems - at first - to be another sign that Cherringham High is spiralling out of control. The new head however is convinced that the teacher's death is suspicious and quietly calls in Sarah Edwards. With her one-time detective partner, Jack Brennan, back in America, Sarah is at first reluctant to take on the case. But when she does get involved, it soon becomes clear that the tragic accident might really be a case of murder - and even Sarah herself could be in danger.

From the authors of the best-selling series CHERRINGHAM. When heart-throb American tennis coach Todd Winters careens off the road in his speeding car one night and plunges in the river, it seems like a tragic accident. But Winters was a young man with many dangerous secrets, and Harry and Kat discover there's no shortage of people who wanted him out of the picture. Publisher's Summary
Jack's a retired cop from New York, seeking the simple life in Cherringham. Sarah's a Web designer who's moved back to the village to find herself. But their lives are anything but quiet as the two team up to solve Cherringham's criminal mysteries. This compilation contains episodes 16 - 18:
The Last Puzzle:
When amiable old village eccentric Quentin Andrews dies, the good folk of Cherringham are astonished at the crowd that turns up to his funeral. But even more astonished are the beneficiaries of his will: Quentin has left a veritable fortune to whomever is the first who can solve an intricate 'Cherringham crossword'. That puzzle is only the first of many that Jack and Sarah will uncover as they follow the treasure hunt for clues and learn the truth about who Quentin Andrews really was. And the biggest mystery of them all... was he - in fact - murdered?
Final Cut:
When a big movie production comes to Cherringham, complete with lords, ladies, and flashing swords, the whole village is abuzz with excitement. But when a series of dangerous accidents threatens the life of the young lead, Zoe Harding, Sarah and Jack get involved. Are these really accidents? Or could they be something more sinister - even deadly? Who is trying to destroy the career of the beautiful young star - and why?
The Vanishing Tourist:
When an American tourist goes missing in Cherringham, the local police don't see reason for concern - people often wander away from such tours. But when that tourist's sister shows up from New York, desperately looking for answers, Jack and Sarah become convinced there's more to the disappearance than meets the eye. Soon, they are entangled in a mystery with a secret history of betrayal, sacrifice, dishonour... and death.
Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly - but with a spot of tea - it's like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby.
Co-authors Neil Richards (based in the UK) and Matthew Costello (based in the US), have been writing together since the mid 90's, creating content and working on projects for the BBC, Disney Channel, Sony, ABC, Eidos, and Nintendo to name but a few. Their transatlantic collaboration has underpinned scores of TV drama scripts, computer games, radio shows, and - most recently - the successful crime fiction series Cherringham. The narrator of the audiobook, Neil Dudgeon, has been in many British television programmes including the roles of "DCI John Barnaby" in "Midsomer Murders" and "Jim Riley" in "The Life of Riley".

So good
I've waited to write a review until I'd listened to all of the series available in English. I really enjoyed them all and hope there will be many more. Neil Dudgeon is such a gifted narrator, one of the very best. He is a master of accents.
These mysteries are just right for me. Interesting subjects that keep me guessing. More please!

Need More!
I love these stories. They are short and easy, and not too anything. Just nice and cozy. I know there are more in German, so I hope they get them in English too. I have
all of them.

Definitely cozy! Definitely a mystery!
While the mysteries are very cleverly wrought, there is always a knowledge undergirding it all that Jack and Sarah will save the day!
I love Jack's toughness and confidence. But his humanity is always present. He is like an American version of Inspector Lewis or DCI Barnaby, but more physical.
Sarah's kids and her parents are wonderful, as are all her friends in Cherringham. One can't help but hope that she and Jack might make a life together, despite their age difference.
Neil Dudgeon, TV's current DCI Barnaby, is the perfect narrator! He has mastered dramatic pauses in a way I have never heard from other narrators. He knows how to use silence as well as sound. I feel as though he is relating a true event that he actually witnessed, rather than just reading a story.
If you like cozy mysteries, for good writing, clever plots, and great narration, Cherringham is the best! (The only thing the I find off-putting is the brief dissonant creepy music at the start and finish. )

Fun
This is a wonderful "cosy" series There are times when I want to listen to a shorter story that is pure entertainment. This series is just what I want at those times.
The characters are likable. The mysteries are interesting without being overly violent. The setting is scenic and inhabited by unique characters.
If I fall asleep listening to one of these stories I will sleep peacefully.
Neil Dudgeon's narration is excellent.
If more of these become available I will buy them!

WE LOVE THESE!
My husband and I love this series, we listen to it together as we commute back and forth to work. I hope the next series will be available soon! We've purchased through 18 and are at the end :( This narrator is so easy to listen to, just love how he does the story lines.
