What the critics say

"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." (AudioFile magazine)

Price is high.

Book is too short and the price is too high. I expect them consider this matter seriously. and there is no written item with it.

Better Than the Last

This section was much better than the last. The last 5 units had horrible editing mistakes that made the learning very difficult. Overall I have been enjoying learning with Pimsleur. My main 2 complains with the course as a whole are they don't explain new words fully & clearly and the courses are way to short for the money they cost. if you are buying them with money vs credits I don't know if I can say it's worth the cost for 2 ½ hours of learning, much of which is review from.the previous lessons.

I press the pause button to give me time to respond. I press the button to repeat the last 30 seconds every time I screw up. Using these methods really motivates me to get it right.

Good for daily exercise

Essentially they are practicing a couple of situations you could run into as foreigner (e.g. Expat) in China.
They repeat often enough so that eventually words and phrases start to stick in your brain.
If there is anything to criticize: you more often practice the male in a conversation, less frequently the role of the female.
