I recently said goodbye to my dog of almost 11 years and struggling with grief. I chose this book because of my love of horses and it popped up with a Google search. I only read the reviews and not the description so I didn't know how fitting this story would be.

written in a way that has you drawn in within the first sentence. by the end I cried alongside the author with it bringing back my own suppressed grief for a loved pet. you can relate and get so far into it that it doesn't read or feel like a memoir but a regular story. can't recommend enough
