À propos de cet audio
Welcome to Candy Cane Hollow, where every day feels like Christmas!
Holly Wood (yes, that's her real name) is driving home for Christmas and not feeling too happy about the empty house waiting for her.
When her car skids into a snow bank, she's rescued by a sweet old lady who promises her name is Mrs. Claus. Holly is taken to Candy Cane Hollow to recover, and finds herself in a genuine winter wonderland.
As Christmas Day approaches, the grouchy medical receptionist appears to have been poisoned by a mince pie. And to Holly's surprise, Mrs. Claus is the prime suspect.
With Mrs. Claus under suspicion, Holly vows to return the woman's generosity by clearing her name.
Maybe it will impress Mrs. Claus' dimpled dish of a son, too?
Christmas Corpse is a festive cozy mystery and first in an exciting new series by popular author Mona Marple. This book is a clean listen, free from swearing, explicit violence, or sexual content.

I listen/read this book because I absolutely love book immersion, and this one got recommended in my December book group challenge. And honestly? It was cute, quick, and exactly the cozy little palate cleanser I needed. I finished it in a day without even trying.
Christmas Corpse is book one in the Christmas Cozy Mystery series, and it delivers exactly what the title promises: a sweet, festive “who done it” wrapped in twinkle lights and sprinkled with holiday magic. You’ve got elves 🧝♂️, a charming small town, and a cast of characters that feel like the beginning of a feel-good Hallmark-style murder mystery village. And yes… I definitely plan to revisit them in book two.
We follow Holly Wood (the name alone made me smile), who’s not feeling particularly merry as she drives home to an empty house for Christmas. After skidding into a snowbank, she’s rescued by a kindly older woman who introduces herself as Mrs. Claus. Holly wakes up in Candy Cane Hollow, a cozy little winter wonderland where Christmas truly feels like it never ends.
But the magic gets a little messy when Persephone, the doctor’s receptionist, turns up dead from a poisoned mince pie—and Mrs. Claus becomes the prime suspect. Of course, Holly isn’t having that. After everything Mrs. Claus has done to help her (frostbite, bed rest, Claus Cottage hospitality, the whole thing!), she takes it upon herself to clear her name.
The mystery is light and easy to follow, the tone stays cute and whimsical, and the addition of Mrs. Claus’ very handsome son, Nick, adds just the right amount of holiday charm.
It’s a cozy Christmas mystery through and through — sweet, well-written, and fun, with just enough winter magic to keep you smiling. 🎄✨
