At the retreat, she's not allowed to use her real name or reveal any personal information. Publisher's Summary
Number-one New York Times best-selling author Sophie Kinsella returns with a festive new Shopaholic adventure filled with holiday cheer and unexpected gifts.
’Tis the season for change and Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) is embracing it, returning from the States to live in the charming village of Letherby and working with her best friend, Suze, in the gift shop of Suze’s stately home. Life is good, especially now that Becky takes time every day for mindfulness...which actually means listening to a meditation tape while hunting down online bargains.
But Becky still adores the traditions of Christmas: Her parents host, carols play on repeat, her mother pretends she made the Christmas pudding, and the neighbors come ’round for sherry in their terrible holiday sweaters. Things are looking cheerier than ever, until Becky’s parents announce they’re moving to ultra-trendy Shoreditch - unable to resist the draw of craft beer and smashed avocados - and ask Becky if she’ll host this year. What could possibly go wrong?
Her sister demands a vegan turkey, her husband insists that he just wants aftershave - again, and little Minnie demands a very specific picnic hamper: Surely Becky can manage all this, as well as the surprise appearance of an old-boyfriend-turned-rock-star and his pushy new girlfriend, whose motives are far from clear. But as the countdown to Christmas begins and her big-hearted plans take an unexpected turn toward disaster, Becky starts to wonder if chaos will ensue, or if she’ll manage to bring comfort and joy to Christmas after all.

Sophie Kinsella does it again!
I’m a huge SK fan. Christmas Shopaholic does her proud! This book had so many madcap mishaps to poor Becky Brandon,née Bloomwood, it made me want to write out a list of all she was juggling at once to host the perfect Christmas. Becky’s true blue personality shines throughout this book. After SK’s first Becky Brandon, née Bloomwood, book Confessions of a Shopahoilc, which is my favorite Shopaholic book, this is my my second favorite. BRAVO SOPHIE!

Painful
I’m not familiar with other Sophie Kinsella books, but I can only hope they are better than this one. I will admit that I only listened to a third of the book and it grated on my nerves to the point where I can’t go on. Becky Brandon “nee Bloomwood” annoys me to no end, and the rest of the characters and storyline isn’t enough to keep me listening. I rarely quit on a book, but enough is enough. I don’t recommend

loved it
To preface, I have never read one of Sophie Kinsella's books. I didn't even know that confessions of a shopaholic was based off a book series, I was simply looking for a christmas book to listen to during the season. That being said, I absolutely loved it. They do talk about past events that I can only assume have occurred in the previous books but it never hindered the story or my understanding of it. It was a lovely if not chaotic christmas story. There are some things I didn't enjoy, almost the entirety of Jess' character comes to mind as well as the fact that there's so much pressure for hosting christmas that I couldn't relate too. I host christmas and its never been this stressful. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and finished it over the span of a week. I liked the narrator, except when she did Minnie's voice but I suppose that's the point. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the genre

I have missed Sophie K books!
I truly love Sophie Kinsella’s books. It’s funny because she references heartwarming Christmas movies in the book and this is book on par with one of those (which I love), only even more heartwarming, funnier, and even more adventurous than some plain Christmas movie. She has a knack for making you laugh the entire book and really grow to love and appreciate each character independently. This book is no exception. On a side note: Sometimes I find myself agitated that she is with Luke, who is seemingly heartless and condescending throughout each story, but Sophie always wraps things up in a way that make you love her and Becky even more. If Becky loves Luke, who am I to judge?

Warm Holiday Fun!
Fans of Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) will really enjoy this sweet Christmas romp. It feels closer to the original Shopaholic books: a ton of heart mixed with the hilarious, wild scenarios Becky seems to find herself in. It's fun to see past characters as they grow and change (especially her parents trying out the hipster life, Suze becoming a school-crafts goddess, and Luke using his savvy to get to the bottom of sticky situations). I loved this story and can't wait to read whatever Sophie Kinsella creates next! This was also my favorite audio narrator for Kinsella's novels!

Sophie Kinsella has done it again! Becky is a lovable well meaning protagonist who doesn't always get it right, but goes after everything she wants with gusto.
