Publisher's Summary

Hiding from a crazy ex-boyfriend, Hannah Winters is determined to keep her head down and her heart locked safely away. Burned out from practicing medicine and dealing with a controlling jerk, her interest in romance is at absolute zero...until they walk in. One look at Cole and Declan and Hannah is going to have a very hard time keeping the ice around her heart from melting.

Declan grew up in Bridgewater, and his job as a police officer means he's got an instinct for trouble, and Hannah Winters stirs up all kind of feelings he can't fight. When his friend, Cole, finds out about the sexy type-A woman with desire in her eyes but lies on her lips, he's just as determined to tame her and uncover her deepest fears - and desires.

When her past catches up to her, it'll be Cole and Declan who convince her to stop running, from her past and from the desire burning white hot between them. They're going to claim her, even if they have to do it the hard way...one seductive kiss at a time.

She’s on the run...

In this audiobook, the heroine is a Doctor who is trying to get away from an abusive, controlling ex-boyfriend who thinks he owns her. She has been running from him and staying under the radar by not using credit cards or an ATM. She lands in the small town of Bridgewater where ménage relationships are seen as a normal everyday thing, and gets a job as a waitress. Everyone is pushing these two guys towards her and they think she’s their one true love. The narration really needed a male and female voice, but was okay.

Predictable, Short and Boring Narration

It took me a while to finish this book, even though it was short. I had a hard time with this book. The lead character, Hannah was too whiny, meek and mild to be a doctor in my opinion. The men were dominant alphas, she traded one dominant man for two. The steamy scenes were fine, but this left a bad taste in my mouth somewhat. I prefer my leads strong and confident. Predictable with a HEA. I read this book using immersion reading. The narrator was horrible, sounding too much like a preteen girl rite reading.

Narrator ruined it!

Could not get past the dreadful narration to even finish. Will make a note of her name to avoid any books she narrates.

Two guys ... one gal... love at first site. zzzzz

Two guys know they want her... forever! Wow! How??? What?
Story doesn't cover how the two guys got together and decided they will share a gal. I know it's the Bridgewater way... but why them two??
Very predictable. I can summarize the story in two sentences. That's how simple it is. I think by now, you can already guess what the entire story is. ;)
If you are looking for a cute HEA, this is for you.

Hot menage romance

CLAIM ME HARD is book 2 in the Bridgewater County series. Can be read as a standalone. No cliffhanger.

I liked the writing in this book better than book 1. The characters are a bit more rounded and believable.

My steaminess rating: o-o-omg with MFM polyamory and anal play but no MM; dominant behaviour and spanking but no dom/sub and all play is consensual; some graphic scenes, but skips a lot of sexy times detail.

The narrator is good.

Narrator ruined it

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and usually enjoy them. This narrator really “read” the book instead of acting them out like a lot of other successful narrators. When she did a male voice, she talked in a monotone. It’s hard to visualize sexy cowboys when they talk in a monotone with no inflection. If you’ve read other contemporary Bridgewater stories, this was another in the series and should have been more enjoyable. I’m sorry that the narrator ruined it for me.

A good novella. A contemporary take on the historical stories also by Vanessa Vale. It was nice to revisit some past families as well.

I enjoyed how Hannah did her best to stay under the radar in order to keep others safe yet stepped up without thought to herself when needed.

Great 2nd book

All of these books can be considered standalones but I liked that the author incorporated some of the previous characters in the books. This one also didn’t disappoint. Plenty of heat and awesome characters.

Great characters

I am really digging this series! I liked the main character Hannah a lot, she's a doctor on the run from her abusive boyfriend and ends up in Bridgewater as a waitress. Declan and Cole see Hannah and know that she could be the one for them. She falls for them too, but is afraid to drag them into her problems. The plot was interesting and the pacing was good. On to the next book!
