Not a fan.

The ending dragged on about 90 min longer than necessary and didn't have the tidy tie-up of details that I have come to expect of Poirot. I was excited to see this series, but after this listen, I don't think I'll try any others.

Captivating and intriguing

I loved the length, it kept me on my toes to the very end, the suspense was wonderful!

Not quite hitting the mark

As a huge Agatha Christie fan, I tried my best to just enjoy this Novel without comparing it to Agatha’s work. I love the idea of her characters coming to life again and enjoying these new stories! Unfortunately, Poirot just felt a little flat to me in this story. It just felt as though too many things were just happening and I was being swept along! Although this could be a sign of a good, tangled puzzle, I still felt like it was missing something. I was also annoyed that out of the 3 Sophie Hannah/Agatha Christie novels I’ve read, this is the second where yet another corpse had its head smashed in to disguise the identity… I just think that’s a bit much… obviously Agatha Christie used similar methods over and over in her books, but the stories were always very different and it fit in well. I wish I liked this novel more than I did!!

Trying to hard.

Most successful in presenting Hercules as Christie did. Loved the new sidekick. But there was tio much dissecting and discussion throughout the book. The ending....good gracious...the ending went on far too long. I found myself checking to see how much time was left. The ending was so dragged out it made me lose any enjoyment I had gotten from the book at all.
