I don’t know if I would recommend this book as a first read, because it adds a lot more depth to the Ronald character, but sometimes takes for granted that you already know the dynamics of the other characters.
It does start with a warning that, for the full experience, you should start further back in the series, of course, Louisiana Longshot is always the best place to start.
