Publisher's Summary

A chilling family saga with a supernatural twist, Cold Water Veins is a captivating story of sisterhood, secrets, and being called home.

Two estranged sisters, Lillian and Adelia, struggle to come to terms after the mother they've believed to be dead for the past 15 years actually passes away. Confused and in shock, they travel together to the isolated village of their childhood to claim the farm that was passed on to them. There’s comfort in returning to this place of their birth, where a simpler, rustic life feels possible - but the sisters quickly realize that something is very wrong with the village and that their mother was hiding more than they could have ever imagined.

Really a 2, but I enjoy the others other works and

It's really a 2, but I do enjoy the author's other work and would like to see more of her on this platform. The biggest flaw is that it's just too short. I love a short horror story, but this one is just too short. It runs together a bit and is hard to follow at times. A lot of the impact is lost when anything creepy does happen. I would have just liked to know more about the characters as well. The narration is perfect though, the performance makes it very easy to fall into the story.

A quick little story to kill a couple of hours

A fun, quick little story to kill a couple of hours.
It just didn't have the time that Lukavics really needed to build and develop a complete story. But she did do a marvelous job of building an exceptionally creepy atmosphere.
I was left wanting a better twist at the end.
