Story
To say things have changed since the battle with the demons would be an understatement. Louella is working to pick up the pieces that were seemingly held together only through the glue that was Regan. Can Louella rise to the occasion without the Regan's aid? With Lelune's followers decimated or losing faith along with the ever-ambitious Cassin finally making his presence in Celestia felt, the world is literally crashing down around her. That doesn't mean Lelune is going to lie down and let it happen. It has been a long time since the Celestials went to war. Can Murgin survive it?

Ilea likes punching things. And eating. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many career options for hungry brawlers. Instead, the plan is to quit her crappy fast-food job, go to college, and become a fully functioning member of society. Essentially—a fate worse than death.

Story
Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Publisher's Summary
The remnants of Lecazar are in turmoil.
Louella is working as hard as ever to save as many people as possible from the constantly spreading undead taint in the east. With new visitors investigating the Wave of terra mana that swept through the world, she will need to stay on her toes to protect her valley.
Dealing with threats from seemingly all directions, Regan doesn't have enough mana to go around. The past makes itself known while he contends with the consequences of unleashing what the locals have started calling the Wave. Regan might have bitten off more than he can chew.

This book derails the entire series
This book killed the whole series for me. The author has relied on this 'take the MC out for reasons' crutch before but this whole book is entirely centered around this incompetently lazy 'plot' device. We had 6 books of the MC solving all kinds of problems etc and now we get this mess with the MC trapped in a zermagerd where did this come from 'wooooo time bubble' or whatever for the whole book. I won't be buying any other books from this disappointment and honestly wish I could get back both the money and time I wasted on the rest after this complete disaster ruined not only itself but the previous installments as well.
Oh and OMG those annoying crow noises the narrator keeps drilling into my ears. Whoever decided that shrieking noise drill of nightmares would be a good thing to put into an audio book should be banned from anything to do with audio anything for the rest of all time in all dimensions across all existence. I would say they should even be thrown in jail but honestly the inmates in correctional facilities have enough to deal with without having that thing in their existence as well.
Shame on everyone involved in this nuclear pile of waste.

confusing
I know the author likes to play a little bit with time when going between chapters. but This is a completely different level that made me wonder if the book might have been playing some chapters out of order. I even think some chapters were skipped in their entirety.

Meh.
This felt like a filler book. No other character development. Introduced a couple of new players but it feels like the hole book is preparing you for the next. Really no explanation on the star fall disaster or what imbalance it caused to release the monsters/old gods.

this book was a waste for me
I'm a little late to the game, but I avoid time looped books and would've skipped this one for that but since I was just continuing the series and downloaded without looking at any of reviews...I dnf, and I am now wary of book 8

Oh boy
That happened. There are a few things you just don't do to this MC and someone just broke that Cardinal Rule. What happens next can only be described as “cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war” I truly look forward to what the MC does to the fool who broke the rule. See you in the next book.
