Story
Stockbroker Isabelle Rhodes has a lot of money, a lot of trust issues, and a whole lot of reasons to believe her ex-girlfriend was right when she said that Isabelle sucked at relationships. With that accusation stuck in her head, Isabelle throws caution to the wind and dives into her first one-night stand. Checking that off her bucket list should be something to celebrate - except it turns out that the woman she just spent an earth-shattering night with is actually her newly hired company pilot, Audrey Graham. Ms. Never-See-You-Again just turned into Ms. See-You-Constantly.

Story
Jacqueline Keys was ostracized from her small hometown of Pine Springs, Texas, when she was 17, sent away because she was gay. Fifteen years later - long after she'd hitch-hiked to Los Angeles, put herself through college, and had written her first best seller - Jacqueline is persuaded to go back to the tiny town of Pine Springs after her father's death. The quick trip she'd envisioned for the funeral turns into weeks as she learns her father's business is suddenly hers to manage. And she is also again face-to-face with the woman who, as a teen, had been Jackie's first crush.

Story
Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

Story
For solitary novelist Jorie Price, true love seems as fictional as the shape-shifting creatures she writes about in her paranormal romances. Griffin Westmore doesn't believe in love, either, but she's one of those not-so-fictional shape-shifters who secretly live among humans. When Jorie's writing gets uncomfortably close to the truth, Griffin is sent to investigate and, if necessary, kill the author to protect the secrets of her kind. But when Griffin unexpectedly finds herself drawn to Jorie, her world is turned upside down.

FBI Agents CJ Johnston and Paige Riley are dispatched to find the link between the two homicides. The team, including Ice and Billy, find the case to be anything but cold. Parents of girls should read this book
I was so curious while reading through this book. I felt the author had an intense insight into sexual assault and into how to address the resulting relationships that breakdown following an assault. I often read books (listen to books) and wish the character would just make the right decision, say a compassion thing, come from kindness and Jae shows us how that can be done. So many characters had meaningful transformations. This book addresses consent, assault, and romantic relationships in such a subtle way that it leaves a powerful impression. I had to look up the author to see if they had a history of working with survivors of sexual assault....out of curiosity. :) Anyway. Now I’m reading everything she puts out. Amazing. I love the strong, loving characters and the positive relationships they build. Can’t wait for the next read.

Amazing book
To take such a sensitive topic and spin it into an amazing story is why Jea is in my top 10 authors. This book was very intense as one of the MC is raped right at the beginning of the book which made it a tough read at times but if you can push past it it is worth it. I ended up invested in Dawn’s healing journey and how Aiden was so patient with her. It was well written with likable characters intertwined in a heartfelt storyline.

Not what I expected
This isn't your normal romance novel. It delves into serious subject matter and situations. But what I found amazing is this didn't end with catching the bad guy and getting together. The aftermath is given. where talking about 5 chapters worth. Very well done. Highly recommend! As always Abby Craden is amazing bringing these characters to life.

Another Classic Story and Performance
Aiden is a police detective with the Portland Sex Crimes Unit. Fawn works with victims of rape and assault. When they meet at a seminar for police officers where Dawn specks on LGBTQ issues of rape and assault, Aiden is drawn to her. Can their attraction grow into something bigger? Marvelous author and performance. Recommend.

What can go wrong?
When Jae writes and Abby Craden narrates there is always a success. And this book is no different. I loved Aiden, she is a strong balanced woman, both in her profession and her love. She reminded me of “Olivia Benson” from SUV. The story was well developed and I liked the court scenes, these scenes Iar missed in SUV. So thank you Jae for actually detailing that.

**Warning**
It covers a heavy subject. So if you are in any way susceptible to negative sexual experiences, just don't. I can tolerate it for a solid story, especially one told with this level of care, but even then it wasn't easy for me and I felt physically and mentally uncomfortable through the majority of the story. That being said, I smiled ear to ear by the end of it because I truly do feel like they treated the characters with a lot of love and affection while writing this. Jae made character that can let themselves be weak in the arms of a loved one and grow from it to be stronger overall. So by all means, if you can handle the subject matter, then there's a good chance you'll enjoy the book. P.S. It having one of my favorite narrators helps.

A must-read!
This story was amazing & the narration was absolutely perfect. The story includes elements of sexual assault but beautifully illustrates the healing as well. It’s like a cop story & romance all in one. I’m not talented enough to write a review that does this story justice but I can assure you that you won’t be able to put this down.

Slow can be good if there is still exitement left. That is not the case with this book. When the trial was over the book got into a real slow motion, and stayed that way as long as I managed to listen. But, narration was good.

i love this book!!!!!
I usually don't do books. Have a character rape inside of it but this was done so well I meant that it was having like just kind of like rip the Band-Aid off so you really don't get a chance to brace yourself for it but does Arthur did such a good job with everything I know some people didn't enjoy what's up like two characters to get a chance to get to know each other after everything happened but I felt like the second part of the book was really done very well I have felt like they had changed to now they get to know each other but heal from everything that happened and start to put the life back together. I enjoy the whole entire book but to be honest with you, my favorite part of the book have to be the second part of the healing process I love the cop process I thought it was done very well but I enjoy the second part a lot more I'm looking forward to getting into the second book I've already bought the second book and this is a good story Abby's one my favorite narrators ever since I got into auto books and I'm just really enjoy her voice and what she does with these characters so I'm big fan of her and she should home run with this I know this is based off of there originally was a law and Order SVU fanfiction with Olivia and Alex but other than the main character having a little bit of Olivia's background this was definitely original characters all around I couldn't even tell that this was a Uber story. because it was done so well it was done very well there their own characters this was just a really amazing story I would love a third book in the series to see them deal with other cases if that's possible I would love to see another book of the series after book 2
