Publisher's Summary

Carter Beckett is the NHL’s resident bad boy, top player both on the ice and in the bedroom, and quite possibly the sexiest man to ever grace my field of vision. But worst of all? He knows it.

He’s arrogant, self-centered, and the man doesn’t seem to know what a filter is, let alone how to use one. He’s had everything served to him on a silver platter, including endless strings of women, and apparently, I’m up next.

His only problem? I have no intention of falling for his shi—um, charm.

I have the solution to all my sexual frustrations in a drawer at home, and it’s far less complicated than Carter Beckett. Sure, he may be pretty, but he’s also a walking, talking reminder for you to wrap it before you tap it.

But then I start letting my guard down, and he starts showing me pieces of himself I had no intention of seeing. The bricks surrounding me may be tumbling down one by one, but I’m not sold yet, which means for the first time in his life, Carter’s the one begging.

For my time, my trust, for a single chance. For me to just…consider him.

Consider Me is the first book in the Playing for Keeps series, but it can be listened to as a standalone. It is a mature hockey romance that contain lots of heat, swoon, laughs, and a ride on an emotional roller coaster!

Ok

The story was ok, but nothing really special. And way too long.

(Mild spoilers ahead) There’s so much unnecessary fluff and the “misunderstanding” if you will was jus blah. Honestly the characters just felt too young and immature for the roles they were portraying. It could have been cute had they only acted like literal kids a couple time. But it kinda became their personality. Olivia, the MC, also completely changed her character behaviour at 25% of the book.

So all in all, it was a good quick read but nothing memorable. I can usually get through a book like this in 2-3 day… this one took me well over a week cuz I kept on getting bored with the characters and story line. 🙃

Lack of substance

The story starts very well but after a few hours we quickly realize that there is a lack of substances and the story is too long

Lacking Substance

The voice actors in this were great, but the plot was lacking. It’s a cute story, but there just wasn’t enough drama for me. It’s basically they meet, fall in love, the end.

If you have any sanity left, skip this

I started by really liking this book , it looked like it was going for enemies to lover/ he falls first which I love but this book is way too long. It has basically no plot and the main character Olivia is so unlikable I couldn’t even finish it

Sweet like candy… or Oreos!!!

I LOVED this audiobook! I thoroughly enjoyed the story and really liked how the narrators portrayed the characters!! Carter is such a cinnamon roll golden retriever!!! The sweetness in this book, I swooned soooo many times!!! I definitely recommend this one!!!

Started strong

First of all, why is it so long!? The story starts strong and I was enjoying up until about hour 10. Forced myself to listen until the end because I am not a quitter.
Carter became so annoying and the two of them were so cringey.
Spoiler alert… the proposal was so long and uncomfortable. The misunderstanding had potential but was disappointing the way it was told

And the way it ended…. Just annoying

I’m sorry but wtf was that

No hate to Becca Mack but this just was NOT for me personally. The storyline was so flat, characters were completely one dimensional, regardless of their past traumas or what not, and the dialogue was so. Fuking. Cringy. I don’t know a single 27 year old that speaks or acts like any of this lol

Love, Love this story.

Carter Beckett is the NHL’s best player, both on and off the ice, and there’s no shortage of women to spend the night with. One night only, and they never stay over. They never go to his home.

Olivia Parker isn’t new to professional hockey players, thanks to her best friend's boyfriend Emmett, Carter's best friend and teammate, but she has no interest in dating one herself—no matter how hot he is. She loves working as a teacher and hanging out with her best friend Cara, drama-free. Why would she want to spend her time stroking the ego of an arrogant athlete and manwhore?

But once Carter meets Olivia, he can’t think of anything else. Too bad for him; Olivia is hellbent on keeping him at arm’s length, with no intention of giving into his charms. Perhaps it’s time for Carter to up his game.

Sparks will fly as Carter does whatever it takes for Olivia to consider him.
A wonderful story and loved there interaction with each other. Reading the rest in the series.

Super Predictable

Story was super predictable and so drawn out beyond what it needed to be. Got sick of the characters whining the same thing over and over again.
