Fantastic Addition to Any Self Development Library

I already own the print copy of this book, and find it indispensable for marking up, and going back to specific sections to review and implement. I wondered if the audio-book version would add any value to me.

Wow. Does it. I love learning about the founders of the modern Law of Attraction and Manifestation movement, thought leaders and trailblazers in their own right. Helene Hadsell was not only one of the members of that founding group, but also hung out with others like Jose Silva that are now recognized as giants from the beginning of that movement. What an era, and time, with many lessons for us. And this book, in audio version? Totally brings her to life for me, more than the paperback did.

How come? Honestly, I think it’s because of the unique power of verbal story-telling.

Ms. Wilman does a great job of narrating. But what also adds richness for me is that because of her own personal experiences with Helene, what we are getting here is a very intimate biography of a big chunk of Helene Hadsell’s life from someone who actually knew her. It’s like sitting around in a cozy livingroom, cuddled on our sofas, beverages in hand, learning about the life of this amazing woman from someone who had a personal relationship with her, plus, had a great affection for her. I adored those chapters. I was transported along with Helene and Ms. Wilman on their various adventures in real time.

The added insights on the SPEC method and the difference between ‘desire’ and ‘knowing’ also resonated with me. The explanation spurred me on to really work on this, and I value that as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Helene and plan to revisit this excellent book often. Bonus? I’m finally (in this day and age of crazily rising prices) going to start my own contesting journey, armed with SPEC. :)

Great book to listen to!

I have heard of Helene Hadsell many times in the past from friends and was intrigued with Helene's story. When I was looking for something to listen to on my commutes to work, I decided to check out The Name It & Claim It Game. The storytelling and narrator made it fun to listen to. With a lot of audio books I have a hard time retaining the information because it's either said too quickly or monotone but Carolyn Wilman has a way of speaking that made it easy to listen to. Really enjoyed all the stories from Helene's experiences!
