Publisher's Summary

It's not easy being a space pirate....

Actually, wait. Yes it is. It's keffing awesome.

The three va Sithai brothers - that's us - cruise the universe looking for abandoned ships, treasure, and other pirate ships to rob. Right now, we're on the hunt for the Buoyant Star, an abandoned cruiser rumored to have a massive treasure inside. The ship's been found at the edge of an ice field at the far reaches of space.

That treasure? About to be all ours. But the ship's not all that abandoned. The Star is crewed by a few lonely, attractive human females who are thoroughly grateful at being rescued....

Actually, wait. They're not grateful at all. They've set us a trap, and their leader, a beautiful human female named Jade, gives me a smile just before she captures me.

It's official. I'm in love.

Contains mature themes.

Mixed feelings

I’d like to start with I love romance novels and am a big fan of Ruby Dixon I’ve listen to all her series up to date and she is my favourite romance author. I know Ruby Dixon’s books are made for woman’s entertainment and not for men but a few things I’ve noticed listened to all of her different series during the lockdowns is. Consent is a big role in all her novels which I like, as well as accepting woman’s bodies for being different ie several of her novels are with a female lead which is more heavy set or tall for a girl, rather then your typical pretty slim girl.
However one thing I’ve noticed is even if the male characters are ugly or mechanical like some of her novels. Their all roughly 7 feet tall and packing huge dongs that no human men have any right to have as she put it in her books. As a guy I just find it annoying that all her books including the males as being beyond average in height and body size in all areas compared to human men, yet all the females are excepted for there different bodies types ie being tall or heavy set or not having nice bodies in there eyes etc yet all the males are being portrayed as beyond average all around. I wish more of her books focused on human males and alien females ie human males being taken for gladiator fights or for slave work or even being used for there bodies which does happen to men in the world. Idk I’ve listen to several dozen of her novels and the double standards with men are clear.

Disappointed

I loved reading the Corsair Brother series on Kindle last year so I was super happy to see audiobooks for them!

I was not so happy with the delivery of the male narrator. His voice felt too old for the role, and to be frank, he sounded eerily like Jeff Goldblum to me. I was uncomfortable the entire time I listened to this, which made me really sad. I love Ruby's books and have read almost everything she's published. The story was great, as expected, but unfortunately, the narration of Adiron was not it for me.
